Fifteen years after having an affair, a St. Tammany Parish man finally decided to come clean.
But the fact that her husband's infidelity occurred a decade and a half ago did little to reduce Connie Davis' ire.
The woman pulled out a gun loaded with birdshot and fired five times at her husband, hitting him twice, as he ran across the yard of their home near Pearl River on Tuesday, authorities said.
The man, whose name was not released by the Sheriff's Office, ended up at a hospital. His wife landed in jail, booked with attempted murder.
The man admitted to an affair in the mid-1990s about 2 p.m. on Tuesday, sparking an argument with his wife, Sheriff's Office spokesman George Bonnett said Thursday. While in the yard of their home at 37447 Earl Bennett Road near Pearl River, Connie Davis pulled out a revolver chambered for .410-caliber shotgun shells, Bonnett said.
The gun, a model known as "The Judge," was loaded with birdshot, and Davis took aim at her husband and emptied all five of the weapon's chambers as he fled through the yard, Bonnett said. He was hit in the upper and lower back by two blasts before escaping, Bonnett said.
After retreating to safety, the husband realized he didn't have a cell phone on him, so he called into his workplace using a two-way radio and told co-workers his wife was trying to kill him, Bonnett said. The co-workers relayed the message to the Sheriff's Office.
Connie Davis had already left when deputies arrived and found her husband sitting in a swing in his front yard, Bonnett said. The man was taken to the Louisiana Heart Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries, which were not serious, and released, Bonnett said.

Psychotic.
Guess she showed him, didn’t she......at least his wounds can be cured.
Needs more time at the range.
Hope you forgot the sarc tag.....15 years AFter an affair????
This sets the stage for a no-alimony divorce.
In today’s society where men have no value, I’m sure this is seen as funny. Wonder how it would be received if the genders were reversed.
I’m not defending her action, I’m just commenting on her shooting.
This is why bird shot is never a good home defense round.
Well, you have to understand something: women never cheat. At least that’s what the media told me...
You really need to wonder?
Why’d you tell me this
Were you looking for my reaction
What do you need to know
Don’t you know I’ll always be your girl
You don’t have to prove to me you’re beautiful to strangers
I’ve got loving eyes of my own
[Chorus:]
You belong to me
Tell her you were fooling
You don’t even know her
Tell her that I love you
You belong to me
Can it be, honey, that you’re not sure
You belong to me
Thought we’d closed the book - locked the door
You don’t have to prove to me that you’re beautiful to strangers
I’ve got loving eyes of my own
And I can tell - I can tell darling
Tell her - tell her that I love you
You belong - you belong - you belong to me
Tell her you were fooling
Tell her she don’t even know you
Tell her you were fooling
I know you from a long time ago, baby
Don’t leave me to go to her now
You belong to me.
The gun is much prettier. “HER COME DA’ JUDGE”
Good point. I'm tired of liberal double standards too.
Talk about a razor-sharp memory! Must've been one heck of a Tuesday!
"...when deputies arrived and found her husband sitting in a swing in his front yard..."
I guess his swinging days aren't over.
I guess this goes without saying, but...BIG MISTAKE.
As Jake Giddes said in "Chinatown", "You ever hear the expression 'Let sleeping dogs lie'?"
Ah, every girl needs a Judge.
If she had wanted to kill him, she would have gotten something with more punch than a revolver with .410 birdshot.
>>>>His wife landed in jail, booked with attempted murder<<<<
GOOD
She should have never hurt herself by trying to kill the guy..... Make him miserable by allowing him to live! *chuckle*
