Following up on this mornings post about Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) calling for a hearing on 44 czars, I asked McHenrys spokesman Brock McCleary where that number came from.
Were using a variety of sources and finding everyone who has been referred to as a czar, said McCleary. It would be appropriate for the WH to release a formal list.
In the meantime, McClearly provided me with two sources that McHenrys office is using to build a czar list: this list from Politico, and this thread from the conservative web forum FreeRepublic.com. The FreeRepublic thread begins with a list from the conservative AmericanDaughter.com, which calls the appointment of czars the beginnings of dictatorship and includes several administration officials whove actually been confirmed by the Senate.

Someone should dig up that song “88 lines about 44 women”
and call it “88 lies from 44 Czars”

Good Lord, why didn’t anyone correct the title typo in the original original thread? We look like idiots.
“Compleat”?

So Rep. McHenry uses accurate sources.
All the better for the rest of the country.
And yes it would be appropriate for the WH to issue a list

Compleat?
It’s a play on the world’s most famous and often published (325+ languages) outdoor book, “The Compleat Angler”...as in let’s go fishing for these bastards...

This is so typical of the media today. Instead of focus on the czars they make a big deal about
where the list came from. To me the mistakes are just more proof we know so little about these people and what they are doing.
But, hey! Let's slam the list and those who used it and turn a blind eye to this administration. What good little worker bees the media is.

What’s a “Disinformation Czar”?
MidEast Peace, Mideast Policy and Afghan Czars all seem like they could be one.
Religion Czar? Isn’t that a violation of the 1st Amendment?
Pay Czar?
War Czar?
There is a reason this guy hasn’t filled any Cabinet positions: he doesn’t have too.

Good Lord, why didnt anyone correct the title typo in the original original thread? We look like idiots."Compleat" is spelled correctly, though perhaps not properly used in suggesting that the "czars" have all the necessary or desired skills.
- Main Entry: com·pleat
- Pronunciation: \kəm-ˈplēt\
- Function: adjective
- Etymology: archaic variant of complete in The Compleat Angler (1653) by Izaak Walton
- Date: 1526
: having all necessary or desired elements or skills : complete; also : classic, quintessential
