DISAPPOINTMENTS
Disappointments come to all of us; and the more I see of life, the more convinced I am that one of the most important lessons anyone can learn is how to handle these disappointments. One of the great disappointments in my youth happened during my sophomore year in high school when I was running for class president.
The class elected a cute brunette cheerleader. Another popular girl, another of the cheerleaders, came in second. And I trailed the field with only four votes. That was quite a blow to a cocky young boy to be defeated by not one, but two good looking cheerleaders. I felt that all my friends had deserted me.
It is sometimes hard to see God's hand in things. We may not understand why things happen the way they do. But God has a way of working through things, and fashioning our disappointments into something worthwhile. The girl who defeated me in the class election later became my wife!
Prayer: O God, make us aware of your presence day by day. Help us be assured that all our disappointments can be turned over to you, and our lives can be strengthened and renewed. Amen.

I just watched you and Ms Smith tell Rep Slaughter what she and Washington are not authorized, by there constituents, to do. What a coward that she won’t meet with “those people”. Get a clue lady!! And I liked the leased car comment too....if she can’t meet with her constituents, why does she need a car?
Good job, Rus and Ms Smith!!

Good Lord’s Day, USMCPOP...it is a very big cabbage. And the news said the guy said he had a bigger one at home. I’ll see if I can find a story or more pictures.

That is the bigger one at home! 125.9 vs.127, IIRC. Worldwide cole slaw and kimchee prices just fell due to oversupply.

That is truly one of the saddest things I ever seen.
It is unimaginable to me how such things can happen.
Mommies are supposed to protect.
I can only have faith that God had a need for this little angel.
To: AZamericonnie
I apologize for wrenching your heart.
It simply must be seen.
What stood out for me in the video, was the name of the judge.
I am very angry at the judicial system in our society, and of course more than just that.
Excuse me for not saying more just now.
