Barack Obama accused of trying to indoctrinate children with socialism

His plan for a televised address to be shown in classrooms when children return to school next week provoked sparked complaints from parents and fuelled the growing conservative backlash against his leadership.

Critics alleged that the address planned for Tuesday was another example of state interference and so-called "big government" by the Democrat president following his record financial stimulus spending and plans for health care reforms.

Officials across the country fielded irate calls from parents after it was revealed that the federal education department had encouraged schools to make children watch the 15-minute address.

Districts in states including Texas, Minnesota, Missouri, Virginia and Illinois have declined to show the speech, which the White House said would be about no more than the need to work hard and finish education.

Other districts are still debating the issue or have announced children will be allowed to miss the event if their parents disapprove.

The school district of Quincy in Mr Obama's home state of Illinois decided not to air the president's message after phone calls "hit like a load of bricks", according to Lonny Lemon, its schools superintendent. An official in Montgomery County, Maryland, near the capital, said parents had used phrases like "Marxist propaganda" in their objections.

In comments recorded for a separate documentary to be broadcast the same evening, Mr Obama tells children: "I urge you to set goals for your own education: to study heard and get involved in your school."

Republicans seized on the prospect of Tuesday's speech as another example of the president's perceived agenda of big government interventionism.

"As far as I am concerned, this is not civics education – it gives the appearance of creating a cult of personality," said Steve Russell, an Oklahoma state senator. "This is something you'd expect to see in North

It’s only a rumor that The Messiah intends to command the Air Force to drop 50,000 pound bombs on London after the UK paper used the term Democrat instead of Democratic.

Sad part of it is the majority of parents that have children in school have already been indoctrinated into liberalism, else we would not have this anti-American radical playing president.

I sure know the liberal doctrine was well entrenched in my public education 40+ years ago. Then Nixon was the devil incarnate, never mind who LBJ literally was.

Regarding the President’s speech, September 8th, 2009.

Dear Sir,

I am hereby requesting exemption for Child1 and Child2 from current and future airings of the President’s September 8th, 2009 speech, pursuant Texas Education Code section 26.010.

According to the letter sent out by Superintendent, X ISD, the President’s speech will not be televised live, but will instead be taped and distributed to the teachers for later viewing by the students.

The decision to allow it into the schools at all is unfortunate, and leaving the airing at the teachers leisure may make meeting these exemption requests challenging. Considering the now well-documented revelations regarding self-described Communists, tax cheats, Socialists and the apparent Marxist-leanings in President Obama’s administration, any school district in Texas allowing the speech to be broadcast is frankly appalling.

Despite all this, the school’s cooperation is appreciated in ensuring that both children are excluded from viewing the speech and, if applicable, the associated materials created by the DoE, distributed for use before, during and after the speech. I’m not sure the district’s decision to not use the associated materials necessarily means that teachers won’t do this on their own.

Principals, please contact me to confirm receipt of this letter. Email is preferred, and only a short note is necessary.

Thank you for your time,
Me

Good googa mooga! Hard to believe. If Zero is making parents in Montgomery County sit up, maybe there’s hope for the Republic.

Today we celebrate the first, glorious anniversary of the Information Purification Directives.

We have created, for the first time in all history, a garden of pure ideology, where each worker may bloom secure from the pests purveying contradictory thoughts.

Our Unification of Thoughts is more powerful a weapon than any fleet or army on Earth!

We are one people, with one will, one resolve, one cause. Our enemies shall talk themselves to death.

And we will bury them with their own confusion.

We shall prevail!

Montgomery County is operationally liberal but rhetorically conservative when the media is not watching.

What’s clear from the volume and the type of complaints from parents that LOATHING of Obama plays the major role in this.

My personal feelings:

My guess is that after all the publicity then this speech is going to be really toned down into something that is so tame and so unpolitical as to be a false representation of what Obama really wanted to achieve here. It will then be used to point fingers at the “Crazy Kooky conservatives”. And it will just be a lead in for another more radical speech to the children at sometime in the future.

The real point being that the whole premise of the president giving a speech to school children is just wrong. That is why it has never been done. Mass indoctrination of Children by one speaker or group- without even parental supervision. No matter what he says in this speech it will be a GateWay for something more to come.

These Marxist infiltrators know this. And I don’t think they are going to say anything really stupid this time around. But parents should not let there children be exposed to it just the same. It is a giant step to a dark place.

So the conservative side should be planning for the “Trick” component of this speech that is about to befall them. And they should point to not just where this particular speech could go, but that it is a doorway- once opened that can lead to the darkest of places in the future, when it is a door that can no longer be closed.

Much to my dismay:

I guess this sort of thing has been done before. Not on such a grand scale though. I believe In those days the internet was only in the homes of a few geeks using command line software. Windows 3.0 had just been released. Netscape and IE did not even exist. And very very few schools even had cable TV. Never the same- the first Bush did give such a speech. I don’t think that many children saw it however. I had never even heard of it.

In any case it was wrong then, and it is wrong now. If the president wants to give such a speech then show it on TV during non school hours and let the parents decide. It should not be shown in school.
