Matthew Haag and I have a story today about President Obama's plan next week to make a speech aimed at students. As it stands, Plano does not plan to air the speech live. But the school district will make the speech available on its website. The story has spread like wildfire this morning. As such, we wanted to put the question to you in a Plano Mini Poll. His speech to students is wrong, dangerous, and infuriating. While I voted “no” in the poll, Obama’s speeches are so long, disjointed, and boring, even to adults, I think the students will be so bored and distracted that his speech will be without affect, or may even inoculate them against his “charm.”
