THOUSAND OAKS -- A 65 year old man had his finger bitten off Wednesday evening at a health care rally in Thousand Oaks, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's investigators were called to Hillcrest and Lynn Road at 7:26 p.m.
About 100 protesters sponsored by MoveOn.org were having a rally supporting health care reform. A group of anti-health care reform protesters formed across the street.
When someone from the pro-reform side crossed over to the anti-reform side, a fist fight ensued, which resulted in the man's pinky finger getting bitten off.
It's believed the man was on the anti-health care reform side.
He took his finger and walked to Los Robles hospital for treatment.
Police don't know who bit the man's finger off, but they're investigating the incident.

Mark Steyn subbing for Rush today had a caller who said he found and brought the finger to the ER for the victim because he witnessed the whole incident.
He said the victim was an elderly gentleman, an anti-Obamacare protester. He said the younger, stronger Obama care supporter deliberately picked on a feeble person.

It’s another thing, that once certain facts become clear, like who instigated this fight, to then continue to attack the patriot for having taken wrong tactical approach.

And from what I can tell, your opinion was lumping in the old Patriot with the libtard instigator - despite your caution to us to wait for the facts.
What prompted me to tell you to ‘step off?’ When you basically gave the speculation that the old patriot was part of the reason that his finger got bitten off. You weren’t giving him the benefit of the doubt - even though you were lecturing us to wait for the facts.
I have nothing against you, but I don’t like that intimation, while you’re lecturing us to hold our tongues. So yes, step off of that approach, please, step back, and give the benefit of the doubt to the old pat, and please practice what you preach (’wait for the facts’) or don’t preach it.
