More Than 70,000 People to Attend Labor Day Rally in West Virginia
As more than 70,000 people have signed up to attend the Friends of America Rally, Holden, WV, is likely to be home to Americas largest Labor Day gathering. The free event, to be held on a previous surface mine, will feature country music stars Hank Williams Jr. and John Rich; Sean Hannity, a nationally-syndicated radio host and Fox television host; and Lord Christopher Monckton, a former science adviser to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. American Legend Ted Nugent will emcee the event. Friends of America from 30 of the 50 states have signed up to attend the rally, which is being put on by more than 100 sponsors. To make the event happen, hundreds of concerned citizens from all over Appalachia are volunteering their time and hundreds of students from local schools will staff booths to raise money for extracurricular activities and sports teams. To provide entertainment to the diverse and growing crowd of all ages, a karaoke competition has been added for Saturday, September 5 from 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. for the areas youth. Children from the ages of 8 to 18 are encouraged to participate. With the large number of participants registered, traffic is anticipated to be very heavy and guests are encouraged to come early. Parking areas will open at 6:00 a.m. and participants are encouraged to come between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. for the best parking areas. Due to the number of vehicles, carpooling is strongly encouraged. To help with traffic, several offsite parking areas are being designated and bus shuttle service will be provided. More information will be available at www.friendsofamericarally.com, the events official website. The Friends of America rally will be held on Monday, September 7, 2009, on 22 Mine Road near Holden, WV from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. It would be nice to see Gov. Sarah Palin there. I wonder if she’s been invited?
This is one we should all be attending.
It would be nice to see Sarah in D.C. on 9-12 nevermind anywhere else.
It would be a mistake for her not to be there, imho.

I wish this was not a 7 hour drive.
Anyone from NC going?
Anyone with a lear jet I can hop a ride on?
15 minutes south of here.
What is that? Are you making fun?
this is out in the country folks..let me emphasize that. no convenience stores nearby, no fast food for 20 minutes.
if you want to bring in snacks get them in Boone County or Logan, which is north of there on US 119.
Of course I’m not makeing fun. We make it to some events (pictured example) but we can’t make it to WV this month. We like confronting the bad guys (libs, anti-military, anti-Americans, etc.).
Blessings to all that make the trip!
Im not going but a 20 minute drive is no big deal.I live in the country though.
I will bet you can buy food there.
What is all of that in the background of your picture? What do the kids signs say?
One sign read, “Protest the Protest” meaning we were there countering the anti-Army and anti-WHINSEC Leftists at Fort Benning’s entrance. The Left comes to Fort Benning to protest every November.
Another sign says “SOA Watch supports the murder of peasants”. School of the Americas Watch is the main Leftist sponsor group that claims Fort Benning teaches torture and support the “oppression and murder” of Latin American people by the military power structure. We throw the accusation back at them.
Another sign, printed in El Salvador, accuses the Leftist FMLN of producing young victims due to their effort to kill and maim Salvadoran soldiers. All the Maryknoll and SOA types love the FMLN.
In your second childhood A&D,,,always thinking about something to eat.................
I agree. Sarah needs to be more available. Now I’m thinking she is really over it and done. :(
And in the background...those are white crosses with the names of “victims” of Fort Benning’s WHINSEC (Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation). Of course one would never see the name of Bobby Chacon, Fracncisco Peccorini, Gabriel Payes, or any other civilian murdered by the SOA’s FMLN.
Martin Sheen and Susan Sarandon have been to Benning in years past to support the extreme Left. I doubt we’ll see them in the future.
