WASHINGTON White House officials and Democrats in Congress say the fears of older Americans about possible rationing of health care are based on myths and falsehoods. But Medicare beneficiaries and insurance counselors say the concerns are not entirely irrational.

Thank you, NYT. The whole article starts out with the premise that the elderly are delusional about Obamacare.
The New York Times not in lockstep with Obama’s talking points? That’s telling.

"Not entirely irrational"? Pretty weak, but I bet it hurt the Slimes to disagree even this little bit with the Obozo.
therefore, by tinkering with Medicare, they are breaking the law, right"
Or are they gong to take a page from TEd Kennedy's play book and simply change the law when it's inconvenient...
They don' pay the law no mind.
Obama: "La loi c'est moi."
BTW, what will it take for the MSM to talk about Ezekial Emanuel?
The White House HIRES a guy who WROTE A PAPER on health care rationing -— and we are not supposed to get worried?
Obama is so arrogant and stupid he thinks he can do as he pleases with no consequences. He just sends out his leg breaker Rahm Emanuel and everything is supposed to be fixed. I guess they forgot to include the American people in their thinking.
Lord Jesus, you healed so many people during your public ministry. I bring before you now, in prayer, all those who are terminally ill -- those afflicted with cancer, AIDS, and other illnesses.
|
Look lovingly and compassionately upon them. Let them feel the strength of your consolation. Help them and their families to accept this cross they are asked to carry. Protect them from euthanasia, Lord.
|
Let them see you carrying their cross with them, at their side, as you once carried yours to Calvary. May Mary be there, too, to comfort them.
|
Lord Jesus, I know and believe that, if it is your will, you can cure those I pray for (especially N.). I place my trust in you. I pray with faith, but I also pray as you did in Gethsemane: your will be done.
|
Bless us, Lord, and hear my prayer. Amen.

Never Trust The New York Times.

Obamacare, the solution to the upcoming boomer hit on social security.
Well the NYTs must not be in one of the privileged groups that are exempted from this monster. Funny how that changes one’s perspective, isn’t it?
Whoa!
What's next - will the NYT tell us that it is "not entirely irrational" to believe Alger Hiss was a communist spy?
Sure sounds like a "Death Panel" to me. Sarah was right!
I thought there was already a Prescription Drug plan for the elderly! And as far as co-payments go, why should folks NOT pony up for part of their care, even if they DO have insurance? Insurance isn't designed to cover every single dollar spent on health care, just the larger amounts that could very well impoverish a family. Our co-payments are $25 for an office visit, and I don't find that a problem.
What I DO have a problem with is being REQUIRED to purchase a $4K a year Prescription Drug Coverage that we neither need, nor want, over and above the $10K we pay for our health plan. We'd prefer to have a very high deductible, Catastrophic plan in which we'd pay for our routine health care and prescriptions from a Health Savings Account.
If it came from the Slimes, it IS slime.
