Go it alone....OK they always had that option...IN 15 MONTHS THEY WILL REGRET THAT DECISION...hope the gop doesn’t screw this up...ya right?
They never seem to notice that Big Health Insurance is a shoestring operation. It survives on investing the premiums elsewhere, not on some greedy margin between premiums and payouts.
That actually could be from Kucinich. Sometimes he hits on something resembling the truth. What’s the core of the complaint? That the bill is a windfall for special interests? I think that is most likely right. Regulation is always supported by the big guys in an industry as it is a barrier to competition.
Then Thursday’s headline should read:
“Doctors plan to go it along on healthcare. Will not accept any public option plans in their offices.”
That I agree with, we are Conservatives in exhile no party and soon no country.
Dr. Atlas WILL shrug. It’s similar to the Medicaid situation.
I will be very surprised if the democrats attempt to use reconcilation given the protests and how closely people are following this. Reconciliation for health care reform would clearly be against the spirit of the law and there are simply too many people following this for the democrats to get away with it without getting killed in the midterm elections. (I hope)
Unfortunately there are sufficient Senate Social Democrats in Republican clothing to give the name “bipartisan” to anything the overt SocDems choose to pass.Any atrocity that passes 60-40 will include a certain number of SocDems that balance those SocDems that get counted as Moderate Republicans. If the overt SocDems manage to be a solid voting bloc then their stuff will pass more like 66-34.
Does they have the vote? Ken Conrad said this past Sunday that they do not have the vote in the Senate for the public option and they never had the vote for it and they should not be chasing the public option because it is going nowhere. I am certain that Conrad is very aware on who is for and who is against the bill in the Senate among the democrats since he is the chief negotiator for the bill.
Don’t fret. A band of moderate republicans will step in to ruin the day.
Bambi has told the Repubs in closed door sessions he doesn’t care if he is a one term Prez, he is pushing HC through regardless of what the public wants.
The man is a Marxist to the core. It’s all about him. I agree with Dick Morris. This MUST be defeated. It WILL break him.
If any version of this bill passes, no matter how truncated, the whole thing will be in place after a couple of years. Bits and pieces of the stuff will be added as amendments to every piece of legislation that gets considered and agencies will regulate parts of it back into the law and courts will “decide” other parts back into it.
Thus achieving their ends of buying- out the failing union benefit programs (which is what their "healthcare reform" drive is all about anyway) and establish a government program they can use to undermine private insurance and chip away at the system.
God these people are evil.
Once passed, there’s only way to undo it. And it’s not the least bit pleasant.
Kucinich...yep...sounds like something the little turd would say. Public option would cover 1/3 of population immediately and save 30%....MY BUTT
Just klick those heels together you little munchkin and say there is no place but home....GEEZ!
Maybe. This time around we are facing what amounts to protected election theft. ACORN is very rich now and is protected by DoJ.
I haven’t read the whole thread - not sure if you saw this yet.
I’m shocked but not surprised.
“Reconciliation is afoot”
What word for such a sham. Ain’t no reconciliation to this.
Lots of older folks’ll be dead by 2012, I reckon. IIRC, the 2010 estate tax remains at 0%. That $$ is starting to add up.
0bama, Pelosi & Reid may not have much time—even if the body count rises on our backs and in our name.
