Disgust and Loathing Report From Congressman Graysons So-Called Town Hall Meeting
I have just returned from Congressman Alan Graysons so-called Town Hall meeting on healthcare. I can not tell you how much disgust and loathing I have for him and his system. 1500 citizens were turned away, so 95 pre-selected Dems could fill a room with 126 seats. When the questions were too much for him to handle, he called them off, saying his children in attendance had to go home and to bed!
Ill keep it simple. It wasnt the answers that were so bad, it was the fraud and deceit that were the very foundation of the whole meeting.
Grayson arranged the meeting in a local union hall. He represents 550,000 people in Central Florida and he says he couldnt find a hall to accommodate more than 126 people for his ONLY Town Hall on the issue. His reason? The meeting room was free!
The line to get in stretched past 4 blocks. There were at least 1500 people. There were young people, old people, Republicans, Democrats, vets in wheel chairs, and more. At about 7:30, those of us in the line were asked to show proof of residency in Graysons 8th CD. Fair enough.
We were told it was first come, first admitted but when the doors were opened 95 out of the 126 seats had already been taken by local Democrats who had been called there early for a 7:00 Democrat County meeting in the same room. Other Dems were seen being admitted through the back door at 7:40. The bottom line is that only 31 people out of 1500 attendees were admitted. Many of those 1500 had waited in the August Florida heat to get in. I was number 20 to get into the room. Only 11 followed.
The Q and A went as expected. The local Dems clapped and cheered every time Grayson said anything. He claimed to have read all 1007 pages of the bill, but could answer no specific questions.
If anything could be worse than the stacking of the room, he brought his three of his children to the meeting, and when the questioning began to get a bit pointed, he called it off because it was getting past their bed time!
He has no shame. I am more than angry. I am full of disgust and loathing for our so-called Representative, and very frightened and embarrassed for my country.
No one has thrown their hat in the ring yet against Grayson but I’m hopeful a solid conservative or two will show up to show him the door!

Oops! I already posted in Kristinn’s thread before I saw yours. Here’s my post from last night:
I just got home from the Town Hall. After they stacked the deck with Union members, and other RATS in a room that only holds 125 people, they only let 31 more people in and I wasnt one of them. There were hundreds and hundreds of people there and we all had to stand outside. What a JOKE!

The Orlando Sentinel reports Democrat Congressman Alan Grayson brought three of children to use as human shields at a town hall meeting tonight on health care. The Sentinel also reported Grayson found a new way to stack the meeting with supporters.
The paper reported that during a contentious point in the meeting, Grayson told a man to “knock off the bull” and invoked the presence of his children to try to keep the peace at the meeting.
As for Grayson’s new way to stack the meeting, the local Democratic party held a meeting in the same room right before Grayson’s town hall. They stayed and took up seats in the small 120 seat room.

If you cannot participate, please visit my website at www.kosmas.house.gov to listen to a recording of the town hall meeting. You can also email me through my website to share your thoughts and questions on health insurance reform.
Sincerely,
SUZANNE M KOSMAS
Member of Congress
I tired to get her into the room, but she couldn’t prove to be an 8th CD voter, so they wouldn’t let her in.
The Bastards.
We missed you.
Write a letter to all newspapers in his district. Call sympathetic ones to see if you can write a guest editorial or op-ed. Get this publicized!!
I was there and Grayson is my rep. I’ll post all my thoughts a little later. Suffice it to say that no one is reporting how disgusting, yet controlled and “Alinsky-like” it really was. 20 or so loud leftists got as much attention and made as much noise at times, as the 1500 that opposed them.
I’m afraid things are going to have to get very ugly before any real change occurs. The entire apparatus—the media, with it’s portrayal of the event that made it seem as if the sentiment for or against government ran 50/50, or was even PRO gov, combined with the cabal of unions, 501c groups, and the welfare grifters, they’re all so mesmerized I don’t see any chance of breaking their grips without some blood being shed. Sad to say.

Thanks for finding these!!!!
If you hold the button down with your mouse at the 2:35 mark on the first video, you will see a red “do not enter” sign. Look just to the left of it and you’ll see the top of my silver-colored SUV parked in that lot:
A view from outside, showing the crowd who wanted to get in, encircling the entire block. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivduddP9cOA

This one from WESH-TV’s traffic chopper and the on-the-ground reporter is also fantastic as it shows her saying that she’s never seen anything like it in all her years as a reporter and it’s the only way to show the size of the crowd who couldn’t get in.
Here’s the link to it again, for those who missed it:

If Klingon were truly your first language, you would view that as an opportunity.
This conniving puke was slamming Fed Chair Ben Bernanke in a hearing. He knows hardball and used it on those who don’t like 0-care
It is happening all over America and the pressure is on the members of Congress to the point they are having town halls by telephone!
That won't work either! Maybe they want us to come visit them on their front lawns to ask our questions! Since their meeting halls are so small their neighborhoods would provide the room for the public to attend. After all, the town halls are supposed to be open to the public, right?
Exactly! bttt
All over America- if the mountain won’t come to us - we should all go to the mountain, hold town hall meetings in their driveways or parking lots, and invite them to attend!
Why should the ‘RAT’s operatives like ACORN, the “news media”, et.al., be the only ones camping out in people’s driveways?
See to it that he is forcibly retired in 2010!
WE AREN'T FOOLED! HEALTH CARE REFORM IS ABOUT CONTROL - NOT HEALTH!!
WE AREN'T FOOLED! HEALTH CARE CO-OPS ARE JUST A TROJAN HORSE FOR THE PUBLIC OPTION!
That’s a profound statement! And so true.
I love the idea of meeting with our REPS in their neighborhoods! And I will offer them a piece of my chocolate candy if they would just answer one question honestly! But I am sure they would never accept a piece of candy from me so my friends and I will enjoy it instead! :)
Was Grayson the excrement sandwich the FL-8th had to eat in order to get rid of the RINO Ric Keller? No tears shed for that idiot losing his seat but too bad it went to a RAT. Keller’s primary opponent almost pulled it off but I doubt he had much support from the RPoF.
Good report and I hope his opponent in 2010 can use this as a shining example of Grayson’s community “outreach.”
Well, whoever the opponent is, make sure he gets a copy of the article and the comments!
I'm all-in, Wiz.
'Course, it's always been that way ................. FRegards
