[history]
MSNBC is having an on air meltdown over a man their camera crew videotaped openly carrying a handgun at an anti-Obama protest in Portsmouth, New Hampshire this morning near where Barack Obama will be holding a town hall meeting later today.
MSNBC showed footage of the man with the gun openly holstered to his right leg. He was holding a large sign with words about the tree of liberty.
The Portsmouth police chief informed MSNBC the man was legally armed.
The man was reportedly standing with a group of protesters on the property of a church.
More as this develops.

Yeah. Just like that uppity pain-in-the-butt Rosa Parks. Stirrin up trouble just to get attention. Sorry, I have no idea what point you thought you were making to me with that remark.

It was “Prissy” Matthews that went berserk over this. There’s a reason he went off to the Peace Corps rather then be drafted. In addition to being a pussy with a big mouth, he’s afraid of guns. Did anybody see the recent overnight Cable ratings? Hardball is dead last. Even trails Maddow and Olbermann.

The pics and video of this will be plastered all over the MSM until support for the Tea Party concept has dropped 20%.or until tea parties grow 300%, and 1 in 5 are carrying. which is just as possible. Yes! America is waking up. B Hussein Obama "won" the election by a combination of stuffing the ballot box and a slick marketing campaign that fooled a lot of Americans. Now people are waking up... and the liberals of this country are actually a very small minority who will scatter when the light of truth, of an awakened America shows itself!

I’m pretty certain that I’m not the first to adopt this as my new tagline.

We do have guns. And ammo. We’ve had them for years, have been buying even more since November 4, 2008. And we’re not afraid to use them if we have to.

I’m rather shocked that El Rushbo would be quoting this if it doesn’t say what he says it says.

I may have missed the information somewhere in this long thread, but I'm pretty sure he was carrying a Hi-Point Firearms pistol of one flavor or another. Cheap, ugly, and very reliable, it's a perfect pistol to open carry if you stand the chance of having your gun confiscated.
And, they are made in Ohio!

It looks like limits on the package of essential benefits.Granted, I think it was Rep. Dingle who said he hadn't read the bill because it would take two days and two lawyers to make sense of it.

Wow, that’s pretty cool. Down here in Texas there’s no license required to buy a gun, just a quick criminal background check. It is a bit harder to get a license for concealed carry, in fact it is a barrier to entry because you have to take a 1-2 day class which costs over a hundred dollars, then I don’t know what the permit costs. I would do it if the time and money cost weren’t so high. As it stands it’s one of those things I’d Like to do but never get around to.

Jim Noble was arrested for lawfully and peaceably carrying a firearm openly in the vicinity of an Obama campaign rally in Beaver, PA, while holding a bible ("clinging") and handing out pro-gun literature. He was arrested NOT by the Secret Service, who were aware of his presence, but by the local police. They prosecuted him for disorderly conduct and disrupting a public meeting, and a jury found him not guilty on all counts on July 17. So much for the argument that legal open carry near the president is a major issue for the Secret Service. Seems the Secret Service professionals can deal with it.

Kudos on the cross-thread last word.Exact same subject, dude. And highly relevant to the claims made on the other thread that someone engaging in legal open carry near the president is a major security concern to the Secret Service. The SS did not arrest the PA protestor - the misinformed local cops did (and the protestor was acquitted). The SS are highly trained professionals and can usually understand the difference between a real threat and a legal and peaceful use of 2nd Amendment rights in the vicinity.
