Orly Taitz, the Birther lawyer who released the document that was supposedly a copy of President Obama's Kenyan birth certificate, has now taken to her blog with an angry screed in response to the evidence that her find is in fact a poorly done forgery.
Referring to the discovery that the purportedly Kenyan document was almost certainly based on a copy of a birth certificate issued for an Australian man, David Jeffrey Bomford, Taitz writes, "Recently Obamas thugs in main stream (sic) media came up with this Bomford report in order to stop my efforts in exposing and prosecuting Obama. Though typically I dont have time to waste on each and every dumb obot, since it got to National TV and my children's friends called my children, Ill spend a few minutes to debunk the obots." She continues...
The reason it’s so damaging is because it was a pretty well done forgery! I wonder who did it??
No, the reason it’s damaging to her is it’s because she’s tied at the hip to Alan Keyes.
The Orly B/C isn't a forgery based on the Bomford B/C.
It might very well turn out to be a forgery - that's why it need to be authenticated against the registry.
But its not a forgery just because somebody made their own fake.
Neither it is a forgery just because somebody else made a version with different letters and numbers.
And if a thousand gaywads from SomethingAwful make a thousand new forgeries tomorrow, each with its own spectacular backstory, that still doesn't reflect on the authenticity or otherwise of the Orly B/C
Only comparison with the primary sources can tell us about the authenticity of the Orly B/C.
Sic main stream media, indeed. I'm afraid that's probably a misspelling for "sick."

The so called Australian BC is the forgery - the jury has not returned its verdict on the Kenya thingy. Many have rendered pre-verdict verdicts, the same, tired arguments come up every 20 posts or so, but the Fat Lady did not sing.
If Taitz’ BC is a graphic image, then I would say it was copied from the Aussie BC and she has been duped.
If her BC is on paper, then I would say that the Aussie BC (which so far is just a graphic image file) was copied from her BC.
In either case, someone is going to a great deal of trouble to fog up the original issue, and to discredit the people who are asking the original questions which are: where is the original Hawaiian BC? And what citizenship did O claim when he was in college.
With all the effort out there to dig through every detail of Palin’s life, you’d think a bit of effort could be spared to ask these two rather basic and very simple questions.
Instead what we get are a storm of ad hominems, and obvious efforts at counterfeiting in order to confuse and difuse the issue. But the issue is still there, and the question has yet to be answered.
Where is the original Hawaiian birth certificate? And what citizenship did Obama claim in college. If you’re a journalist, answer these questions and you’ve got your Pulitzer. You might be looking for a job, though.
Since when is “Salon” considered to be a reputable source for anything, much less something this important?
I read the pieces you linked on Salon, and they’re typical leftist bilge water.
Wow! What a coincidence!!!
This appears to be a set-up designed to produce just this result.
Step 1: Anonymous Obama-bot forges Kenyan birth certificate and sends it to Orly.
Step 2: After Orly is lured into putting her credibility behind the Kenyan birth certificate, the Bomford template is publicly revealed by the Obama-bot, undercutting Orly.
The problem arose in that the so-called “birther” side was coming to the conclusion that the Kenyan birth certificate was faked, so the originators of the fraud had to come out earlier than they wanted to with the Bomford template.
WND was already backing away from it last night.
Perhaps Orly was hoping that, questionable or not, it could be a sufficient basis to allow a court to have Kenyan records checked, and who knows what Kenyan records would reveal as to Barack obama.
Obviously, the fakers could not allow it to come to that, so they had to spring their trap earlier than they wanted.
Orly should not be putting her reputation on the purported Kenyan document.
This is the conclusion I'm coming to.
It has done its job, muddying the water. Someone is going to a great deal of trouble to avoid answering some very simple and very basic questions.
I have to say, I love FR. Breaking this thing down is some very good work.
So what else is new?
This seems to be the logically proper conclusion. If a guy counterfeits a dollar, does that mean the dollar in your pocket is counterfeit?
Ridiculous. Once again, the anti-birthers seem to come out of this round bleeding as a result of their own flailing.
*tih remains agnostic on the BC issue though the circumstantial developments do tempt.
you speak the TRUTH.
The Orly original has 'K. F. Lavender and the number is 47,644
The hacked one is E.F. Lavender and 46044.
Unless that's the wrong way around - the 'Double Take Thread' is over 1800 posts and I can't be sure if there's been a synthesis yet.
So does everybody else that I'm aware of who has led in this fight.
Having said that, I haven't seen anything yet that disproves it.
