I just looked on a 1964 calendar. 2/17/64 was a Monday. Does anyone know if Mondays in Kenya are a regular business day like they are here or are they a non-business day like Sunday is here? Is 2/17 any kind of Kenyan or Muslim holiday?

A problem with both versions: Mombassa was not part of Kenya in 1961, it was part of Zanzibar until 1964. So a birth in Mombassa in 1961 would not have been listed on a Kenyan birth certificate.
