There's Red America, Blue America and Tinfoil Helmet America. And it looks like the third camp is enormously larger than anyone feared.
A new poll, commissioned by the liberal Web site Daily Kos found that fully 11% of Americans think that Barack Obama wasn't born in the United States. And another 12% said that they are unsure.
The doubters are heavily concentrated in the Republican Party, according to pollsters. An amazing 58% of the surveyed Republicans questioned whether Obama, in fact, entered the world in Hawaii.
What this means: Millions of Americans suspect or are convinced that Obama, son of a Kenyan father, is not a citizen and thus cannot legitimately serve as President. And no Hawaiian birth certificate or newspaper announcement from the time will convince them otherwise.
Who are these people? They're the ones whose feet are not planted on U.S. soil - or any soil.
Actually the founders did, and warned against it. This nation can only stand when God fearing people administer it. We are way beyond that situation now. Today, most politicians are complete atheists and have no fear of ultimate justice. Whatever they can get away with in the temporal is just fine.
A few years ago the company I work for held an “ethics” refresher day. All employees of the company had to attend and listen to various presentations reinforcing the ethical behavior expected of all employees (brought about by the unethical behavior of executives in the company, LOL).
Anyway, besides the numerous and absurd assumptions behind the program, we, the collective, were addressed by video by a former cabinet official, I forget his name, and admonished that Washington, DC, was the most ethical place on earth. One could not possibly get any business done in Washington without having a reputation for scrupulous ethics. A quiet laugh murmured through the captive audience.
We all know the lies Washington and its ilk presents to us as truth.
Hadn’t seen that his SATs put him in Mensa territory, recall reading something about 120 or so. Do you have a link? THanks.
Star Traveler is a confirmed troll and has been on the list for almost a year and been trolling here for years.
Just ignore anything he says.
He’s a glaring example of how FR fails from time to time, but with so many successes we just have to ignore some of the clowns that are accepted by the mods.

Well, for one thing in this “honorable” issue, is that it’s an issue that only plays to conservatives. And as it turns out, from what I can see, there is nothing Obama can do to be “honorable”... so it simply turns out to be a “hammer” for conservatives to talk among themselves — and not a “real issue” of being “honorable”.
That’s one of the big problems I see with some conservatives in trying to “project” conservative ideas and principles onto a Democrat. It doesn’t work for the Democrat, it only “works” in talking among conservatives... LOL...
For example, if Obama were to show his birth certificate, would he become ‘honorable” at that point? Or, if he proves he is a natural born citizen, would he become “honorable” at that time? I doubt it, because he wouldn’t be considered “honorable” as long as he remains a Democrat... and that’s the viewpoint that is maintained by conservatives.
So, it’s like I say, this only “plays” to conservatives and not to Democrats — and thus — it has no compelling or persuasive power over Democrats. And since it’s the conservatives that want the birth certificate, they are “talking to themselves” when they say that. And to get the birth certificate “shown” — nothing is accomplished if you’re “preaching to the choir” (i.e., “talking to yourself”)... LOL...
And so... as always, it simply comes down to the point of — if you want to see the birth certificate, then it will require a state law which legally mandates that birth certificate be shown, or else the candidate cannot be placed on the ballot.
I don’t even know what this “janx” is... LOL... I’ve heard some others mention it in “troll talk” (like you just did... then...) — but I’ve never heard of it outside of that... you might as well be speaking Greek... for all I know... :-)
You’ll have to make better sense than that...
You said — I’ve also suggested that we needn’t wait on new laws, but can take executive action immediately, if the Republican secretaries of state in the States where we have them simply make it known that they will increase the proofs required for filing candidacy papers, that will put excruciating pressure on Obama and the ‘Rats to come across, if they want to compete at all in those States.
—
In the various states, they have put laws in place that have specified what needs to be done in regards to a candidate getting on the ballot. That’s your problem. Those laws in the various states have *not legally required* that a birth certificate be shown.
If one attempts to get some paperwork shown that is not written into the law, it will be challenged (as not being in the law, itself) and it will fail to be shown (i.e., the birth certificate) because it’s *not legally required*...
That’s why there needs to be a state law that *legally requires* that a birth certificate be shown or else the candidate will not be placed on the ballot in that state....
You said — Cast doubt on the man, cast doubt on his policy.
—
I can understand that part of it, as long as the people, themselves (who are doing this) understand that there is *no legal requirement* for a candidate to produce his birth certificate...
*If* — they understand that, and if they know that this is nothing more the “political persuasion” and it cannot be enforced by law — then I have no problem with political persuasion. The problem I see here, is when people confuse “political persuasion” for “legal demands* — and think that just because they “ask for it” — that the person *must* give it to them.
No..., he doesn’t have to give it to them, and as long as it continues this way — they will be “asking” for years (until the end of his term of office) and he will be refusing for years... and nothing more will happen. As long as they understand that part of it — then it’s fine for them to continue asking.
HOWEVER, I prefer to get some *legal action* going... LOL...
And thus, that’s why I say that if one wants to see the birth certificate that the only way to do it, is for a state to pass a law which *legally requires* the candidate to show his birth certificate or else he cannot be on the ballot...
You said — - so much for law, the plain and apparent facts do not apply to the politicians anymore.
—
If you or conservatives or people *really believed that* — then you wouldn’t be asking to enforce the law... LOL...
You would just get up and walk out of here and not complain anymore. The fact of the matter is — the very fact that you are complaining belies the fact that you still want to enforce the laws, and still think you can.
And since there is *no legal requirement* for a candidate to show his birth certificate — there is *no law* for you to enforce in showing that birth certificate.
Thus, that’s why I have proposed from right after the elections that the only way to get to see the birth certificate — is — for the states to pass a law that *legally requires* a candidate to show his birth certificate or else he will not be on the ballot in that state...
Yeah, that’s pretty much it... and it will work, too... :-)
If he doesn’t show his birth certificate under those circumstances, it will be an absolute disaster for Obama...
That’s a “list” that exists only inside of the minds of those who don’t like opinions expressed that they disagree with... :-)
And Free Republic doesn’t fail by having conservatives of all opinions post here... just because they are not your opinions, isn’t a failure of Free Republic...
Don’t you think it’s quite odd that for a year people have been asking for the birth certificate, from before the election to after the election and all the way up to now — and that *no one* has seen it yet?
I would think that — by now — you would have finally figured it out, and realized that this is because there is *no legal requirement* for a candidate to show his birth certificate.
And I would have also thought, that after one year of failing — that you would have realized that getting a state law making it *legally mandatory* to show a candidate’s birth certificate, or else he cannot get on the ballot — would be the way to go... :-)
If it’s plain “nostalgia” — then perhaps you better look at the “facts of the matter” again and get on board for that “state law”... :-)
You said — He will or the office will, in the end, this will cause a civil war.
—
Will that civil war be before the next President election, or after it? Or will that civil war be before Obama opens his Presidential Library or after it? I kinda would like to know so I can mark it down on the calendar and them come back to check on that prediction...
Or, maybe to make it simpler to answer the question... will that civil war be while Obama is still in office or after he is out of office?
Ummm... check out post #354.... :-)

Why are you pinging me back to that post? Don’t respond to me anymore or ping me. You’re just here as a troll and to take up space. Even the mods call you a troll. Why you are allowed to remain, I have no idea. Maybe they are amused by your efforts.
Well... someone mysterious here, said the following — Why are you pinging me back to that post? Dont respond to me anymore or ping me. Youre just here as a troll and to take up space. Even the mods call you a troll. Why you are allowed to remain, I have no idea. Maybe they are amused by your efforts.

Well, it could be that you did not know that Lucas Smith was a criminal and nuts, and you doubted the *hoax* that he was perpetrating in trying to sell Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate on eBay — as that other poster said — that you appeared to believe... LOL...
I know it’s *very inconvenient* to have facts that are plainly hoaxes and untrue to be shown to be that — especially when some *want them* to be true. It doesn’t matter how much people want them to be true. We’ve got to go by the absolute truth of the matter — and we cannot be promoting “hoax stories” about Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate, as you seemed to want to believe.
The only way this is going to be solved is by adhering to the absolute truth of the matter and the *real facts* and the *reality* as it is playing out. The problem here, in dealing with this issue — is that several seem to want to go on mere hyperbole and unsubstantiated assertions and people who “play on hoaxing people” — as the “authority” that they use. We have to stick to the *reality* of the situation and not be taken in by a “Lucas Smith” who is a scammer and who pretended to have Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate to sell on eBay...
As far as “troll” — it’s well known here that many operate on the following definition of “troll”... LOL...
A troll is someone who doesnt agree with my opinion and has the audacity to say so!
It seems to work very well for anyone who doesn’t like someone else’s opinion... As it turns out, the only people who call me a troll are those who are using that definition above... :-)
Talk to W. W. SMITH, who has a study. I am done with this thread. I have posted 7000 threads to FR in the past ten years, and this one has been by far the most annoying. I have had my inbox inundated for the past 24 hours with 500 posts of innuendo, insult, and irrelevancy. I thought I know this place, but it comes as a surprise to me that there truly are this many delusional crackpots here on FR. If there aren't, a couple of dozen posters here on this thread are doing Slate's, and MSNBC, and Daily Kos job for them, by making it look like we are all nuts. Later, when we start bitching about a legitimate gripe like William Ayers, or ACORN, they can point to threads like this one and suggest that the screwball wing of the Republican party is just hallucinating again.
Thanks for the referral to W.W.Smith. I’m not sure that I’m with you that Freepers are crackpots over Obama’s origins—but I’m not sure that his people aren’t laying out traps on it either.
FR always has some crackpots, always did and always will. But when you venture into suggesting—which it didn’t seem like you did in your original posting of this thread—that 58% of Republicans, who according to polling have at least some doubts, you’re putting yourself in opposition to lots of people.
Since the article has such an accusatory and insufferable tone, that you happened to post it at the same time that there’s a new BC frenzy in progress, I imagine would make you a target for Freeper’s annoyance-to-wrath on the topic generally when they post in response.
Take heart, I suggest that half of the overheated response is a matter of coincidence with the news of Dr. Taitz’s latest filing.
