In a recent telephone poll conducted by Research 2000 for the website Daily Kos, 58 percent of Republican respondents when asked if Barack Obama was born in the USA answered "no" or "not sure."
The Daily Kos, which calls itself "the largest progressive community blog in the United States," nonetheless found a reported 527 Republicans and 601 independents to accompany its 743 Democrats in answering the question.
Among Republicans, 28 percent answered they believe Obama was born outside the U.S., while 30 percent answered "not sure." Among independents, 83 percent affirmed their belief that the president was born in the U.S., while an overwhelming 93 percent of Democrats insisted it is so.

While the disparity between Republicans and Democrats is massive, the poll also demonstrated that where respondents live also makes a significant difference.

Anything he’s done or said can be spun around an axlerod and twisted out of all recognition.
Unlike every other issue, constitutional ineligibility cannot be fixed, finessed, spun, or ignored out of existence.
It is the ultimate show stopper, the wooden stake, the silver bullet, the gold kryptonite that will PERMANENTLY slay this monster.
Not only could he never ever ever run for the office again (Richard Nixon lost the presidency and permanently retired from politics in 1960, remember?) the very fact that the dems let an unqualified candidate get into the White House would damage their street cred for an entire generation!
Speaking of damage, every bill he signed, ever executive order he issued, every treaty he negotiated would instantly become null and void. We’d get a ‘reset’ to the moment he took office.
That is why I’ve devoted so much of my run time to this issue, although there is a very low probability of success, the rewards are very great indeed.
If that makes me a simpleton in your eyes, so be it.
However, legally, if Obama Senior was married to Ann Dunham, at the time of birth, Obama SR is the legal Father, no matter what!
Thanks for pointing that out. I was wondering when someone would point this out. It seems that more and more left wing media sources are being used for headlines about those evil birthers.
This fact alone is what is condemning him in the court of public opinion.
He claims to be 100% legitimate. If this is so, his birth certificate will surely back up his claim. That being the (supposed) case, why has he refused to release it for over a year now?
Refusing to release his bc does nothing except make him appear to be a liar. It's very simple reasoning, and more and more people are seeing it plainly.
The longer this goes, the more it destroys his credibility.

Yes, it would be WONDERFUL if we can get several states to deny Obama ballot access, on this issue.
However, if the source of embarrassment is parenthood, not citizenship (we KNOW Obama will be embarrassed by the document's release, he as much as said so in his court filings) -— well we have a political issue as well as a legal issue.
Both are important.

Typical conservatives percentage. That seems about right. That is why we need the mushy moderates to win elections. It surprises me that we only have about 28 percent true conseratives in this country but that is the way it is.
Getting the birth cert out of Hawaii might be easier than getting the marriage certificate out of London....
What is it about the long form? I know that you have more information on it, but is it something that people can get? When I joined the military I wrote to the state of New York for my birth certificate and they send the short form. Could I have requested the long form????? I don’t think that you can just get your long form anytime you want. I don’t get this. The short form has the day you were born and what state you were born in. I saw Obama’s short form and it looks EXACTLY like mine except different state.
I think Hillary!™ knows that 0bama has enough goods on her and her hubby to put them both away for a very, very long time.
I think they are at a 'draw' on what each other knows about the other.... Hillary did not get Secretary of State because of nothing. Come on now she is in charge of the passport office and what kind of documents are held there? You think Bamacare is not a health issue for Hillary. And look who is yet again installed in the White House that Hillary did NOT like one bit when she was co-president....
A few things could be a slightly embarrassing:
1) The parents’ address on the BC different from the one in the newspaper birth announcement
2) The Birth Certificate was amended at his adoption by Lolo Soetoro, Indonesian citizen, in 1966.
From 1966 to 1980 at least, his name was Barry Soetoro.
No one knows when exactly he changed his name back in Barack Hussein Obama, most probably after his visit to Pakistan in 1981.

7% of the 743 Democrat respondents to this particular poll would be 52.
If 7% of the 66,882,230 fools voted for BHO last November (which includes a LOT of ‘independents’) were ‘birthers’ it’d be 4,681,756,
