Third Horseman Appears!
Soylent Green Alert!

"We are a nation built on the strength of individual initiative. But there are certain things that we can't do on our own. There are certain things that only a government can do. And one of those things is ensuring that the foods we eat are safe and don't cause us harm."
America enjoys the worlds safest, highest quality, most abundant, diverse and affordable food supply.
This situation is about to change with the Food Safety Enhancement Act (H.R. 2749) which was scheduled for consideration this week under suspension of the standard rules governing congressional legislation.
The Ranking Member of the House Agricultural Committee urged his colleagues not to rush The Food Safety Enhancement Act (H.R. 2749) through Congress. The move to suspend the rules was defeated by two votes.
The suspension would mean limited debate of 20 minutes and no opportunity to offer amendments. Congressman Frank Lucas (R-Oklahoma) is ringing an alarm. He says the proposed legislation is the result of a flawed and incomplete process that would lead to huge regulatory burdens that will force the majority of Americas farmers and ranchers out of business without contributing much, if anything, to the goal of safer food.
Though the rules have not been suspended, the legislation is still expected to meet with House approval.
Few on Capitol Hill are heeding Congressman Lucass warning.
As proposed by Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Los Angeles, H. R. 2749 will grant the Food and Drug Administration the power to regulate all farms and farm produce

Me too
Me and my garden best be left alone. Oh by the way, if you are not already doing it, better get some heritage seeds for each plant you grow just in case they make it impossible to get seeds, or alter them to affect you in ways you would not like.
Right Obama. Because a person who takes seeds and plants them in their own home garden can’t possibly do this without government supervision to ensure what’s grown is safe.
It is not written into the law, so no.

Based on some archaic judicial ruling, if they feel your personal “farming” affects commerce, the law may affect you.
That ruling was over some wheat farmer growing his own stuffs. Ruled one way then ruled another...you get the idea. Of course all our courts now follow precedence, not the real law so much.
As proposed by Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Los Angeles, H. R. 2749 will grant the Food and Drug Administration the power to regulate all farms and farm produce in an attempt to purge Americas farmland of E. coli O157:H7, a lethal, food-borne bacteria.Under the terms of the bill, crops must be grown in sterile areas, surrounded by 450 foot buffers, so that they are not exposed to other vegetation, runoff water, birds, beasts, or wildlife of any kind.
To create such sterile farms, ponds will be poisoned; wetlands drained; and streams re-routed to safeguard the crops from untreated water.
Trees will be bulldozed from agricultural corridors to protect the fields from bird droppings.
Fields will be lined with poison-filled tubes to kill rodents.
All children under five will be prohibited from stepping foot on farmland or tilled soil for fear of leaking diapers.
A crow landing in a cornfield will mandate the destruction of the entire corn crop.
I scanned the bill, H.R. 2749, and none of that was in there.
Bump
Strange coincidence. Most American farmers voted for McCain.
Does this mean that if say neighbors get together to grow crops (I know communist crap), but just for sake of argument, will GOVERNMENT(Local State, Fed)Hellicopters be watching to make sure people don’t get together and start ILLEGAL gardens. Just wondering.
successfully tested an RFID tattoo on cows and rats?
dude, that seriously sounds like a Terminator scene. - Really.
Be very careful. - They will kill you for that.
Be prepared...
My solution would involve a little more “prejudice.”

zeros goal is to control the life of the sheep from cradle to grave.
Those ‘commoners’ that are still alive will be controlled but Obama and the rest of the left ultimate goal is to reduce the herd.
“Uncle Joe” (Stalin) was in charge of the food supply too.
I wonder if we will have food czars? I can imagine Barney Frank as the Fruit Czar. Al Franken would be a good Cucumber Czar. Of course, they wouldn’t give up their current offices. But I imagine Obama can find people of equal caliber who are not elected officials.
We can expect more corruption. Republican farmers will be shut down, to the benefit of Democratic party contributors.
We eliminated Malaria.....the 3rd world birth-rate soared, they all immigrated to the USA, and America became the trash-can for the world.
