The several states are lining up to reclaim their sovereignty and telling the federal government to butt out. This is being done in myriad ways but all are related in that most claim that the Tenth Amendment protects the states from federal tyranny. States are passing resolutions, memorials and two states have passed laws and they intend to apply those laws for their citizens. The two states are Montana and Tennessee.
It was expected that at some point these laws would be challenged and it appears actions to do such has begun. The Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has published open letters to federal firearms license holders in Montana and Tennessee explaining that federal law trumps state law when it comes to gun laws

Perhaps the states should pass laws prohibiting the ATF, FBI, ect. from carrying firearms as LEOs except on Federal property as the states do not recognize their police powers with in the state boundaries.

I just posted the article about English Only and how all seven members of our delegation including the Dem Boren, OK-2, have signed a letter to Holder basically telling him to butt out.
Well Sotomajor says according to the article that Fed gun laws do not apply to the States. How can the BATF claim they do? Either they do or they do not.
States should collect taxes from residents and forward money to the feds only for those things which are Constitutionally justified under the enumerated powers.

federal law trumps state law - Federal law does NOT trump state law : the states are ~NOT~ units of the Federal Government, and I doubt the Feds have enough agents enforce all their unconstitutonal laws, however nothing will be done against them unless the States next either through the governor (with these laws as legislative backing) or new laws that specifically arrest federal agents, and protect it’s citizens; then nothing will be done against this..
Timothy McVeigh wasn’t a conservative, secondly NOONE is threating the Federal Government with violence it is disingenuous to compare him, a terrorist against innocent americans, with those who want to stand up to the feds via the US Constitution!~
that’s an excellent idea
that’s a good idea, too
The Liberal Messiah is looking for His Reichstag Fire.
If we get to that point, and I wouldn't be surprised if we did, the USAF would have to make a tough decision. Our men and women in uniform would no longer be able to remain neutral.
Sad to say TN and MT are probably too chicken to really tell the BATFE to go screw themselves.
We have Lawyer Calhoun as Attorney General.
