Ann Coulter brushes off the nirth certifikit kooks as just a few cranks, nothing to worry about, pay no attention, it’s the media trying to make conservatives look bad again...
And over at Free Republic, hundreds of commenters are now convinced that Ann Coulter is a RINO and a traitor...

Everybody is so sure that it's a "crank" issue, but no one has seen the certificate either.
Anyone who thinks Ann is a RINO and a traitor needs to get a grip on reality.
I would be more concerned if this was from a conservative site.
I agree Ann.
Obama just needs to produce that birth certificate, and we can put this behind us, and expose all of those “kooks”.
We can move forward with the “important” issues of the day.
I doubt it was 'hundreds', I think this site has members pretty much on all sides of the issue. Maybe Coulter looked at the issue and the evidence and decided there was nothing there.. no big whoop, she is entitled to her opinion and that doesn't make her a RINO traitor.
Ann has decided to take up other causes, that is her right.
I am not a crank, but I disagree with Ann on this one.

I just want to know how threads on another forum end up being in the “news” section of FR. Shouldn’t they be in chat or blogs?
Ann is basing her belief on a complete lack of evidence. Obama has never even acknowledged the COLB that is out there. He still has plausible deniability if it is a forgery. It doesn’t even have his siganture on it.
I believe Obama is ducking the issue. I also believe he was born in Hawaii. If this is such an open and shut case, why are politicians avoiding it like the plague?
If I were like Ann, I would say “Obama is a citizen and here is the proof” and throw it on the table. Where’s the beef?

First and foremost Ann is a realist, she knows this will never get him out of office now no matter what is proven and what isn’t. The Obama team will continue to tell anyone and everyone to go to hell just like they have been and it will never get further than that.
Can you imagine the inner city riots if it ever really came to a head now with the economy being bad?

There are less than a dozen people taking that stand point, yes there is a lot of disagreement, but not to the level that Charles implies.
Well like I said on the other thread about this issue, I disagree with Ann’s position on this but I’m not about to demonize her here.
From what she’s seen, this is the conclusion she’s drawn and she is comfortable in her views.
I however see a long string of inconsistencies that require further investigation regardless of what conclusions are reached at the end of that investigation.
But Ann is pretty solid on almost every issue (like 99.9%) so rather than tossing her overboard, I’ll adhere to Reagan’s 11th commandment instead.
The thread that LGF is “reporting” on doesn’t contain the words “RINO” or “traitor” at all... unless LGF has access to the two removed by moderator posts.
Someone needs to tell LGF to stop making stuff up.
