Hawaiian newspapers don't prove birthplace

The announcements of Barack Obama's birth printed by two Hawaii newspapers in 1961 do not provide solid proof of a birth in the Aloha State because of uncertainties over the policies and procedures that apparently were being used at the time.

The Honolulu Star-Bulletin, for example, according to its website, now reprints birth information it receives from Hawaii's Department of Health.

"We don't have an editor who handles birth and marriage announcements; we print what we receive from the Department of Health Vital Statistics System," a Star-Bulletin newsroom operator explained to WND.

The operator said, "This is how we've always done it."

The newspaper's "proof" of birth, therefore, could be based on a state-issued "Certification of Live Birth" which, as WND has reported is insufficient alone, even for some State Department officials, to document the birthplace.

Many people remain unaware a child does not even have to be born in Hawaii to receive a Certification of Live Birth, the very "evidence" the White House has cited in defending its assertion Obama was born in Hawaii.

I dunno—why would anyone go through the trouble to fake this in 1961?

Not saying these were faked in 61...The mother just happen to be out the country visiting the father family in 61 when she gives birth, she goes back to Hawaii and recorded the birth again normal and no big deal...normally...

But years later when Obama starts playing with the idea of running for President, this technical question of “Natural Born” status President of the United States must first pop up for him... and so being the lawyer he starts playing this game of not quite telling the whole truth "parsing words"... and has dug himself a hole he can not get out of... he just keeps giving oblique evidence that do not answer a simple straight question... where were you born....

He's yet to proved the the simplest thing to provide (see picture below)... if he was born in Hawaii he got one on file sitting in a stated recodes vault..and he can get a photo copy for a few bucks an a stamp

I thought this was all bull for the longest time... but when someone will not provide a simple answer to a simplequestion the you got to wonder

If the newspaper announcements are genuine, I consider it pretty damn conclusive. There is no way she called from Kenya to the US just to tell them to register the birth in a Hawaiian newspaper so they could claim US citizenship 49 years later. For a lower middle class family, a call from Africa would be prohibitively expensive.

I have seen some people question whether the newspaper clip is a photoshop. Has anyone seen the actual newspaper that this supposedly came from?

The "long" form birth certificate could provide some answers, but it could also raise some serious questions that Mr. Obama does not want to answer.

He also probably played the system to get foreign aid for school...that is why he is trying so hard to keep it all quiet.

That, I think, is the answer in a nutshell. He's a citizen but gamed the system by pretending to be a foreigner to get into college.

I have no doubt that the birth announcement was published in 1961.

I am not sure I understand the article in your reply #49. I find it hard to believe that anyone believes that the birth announcement was faked.

I just asked so what if there was a birth announcement based upon Hawaii's vital records department. There could have been no hospital birth and registration could have been delayed like mine was even though Obama was (probably) born right there in Hawaii.

My position is to ask what's the big deal for the President to release his long form birth certificate? His hard head? Contempt for us, his fellow Americans? He won, ya know.

He could end this whole thing and eliminate every bit (almost) of legal actions. Is he a psycho? or just hiding something?

Funny - The two newspaper “reports” for his birth use a birth date of August 4, but the COLB has a typed-in date of June 15, and a “recorded date” a few days later of June 19th.

Comparable dates in the same column match: August 5, for example, right above the Obama “family.”

I lived in Hawaii for many years as a student.

My foreign friends could get Hawaii driver's licenses or better still, "Hawaii state ID cards" without being citizens. All they had to do was to go to the State offices on King Street in Honolulu and request one.

That was several years ago, and I don't know if the rules have changed. The good thing about having a "Hawaii State ID card" was that you could take it to the Mainland, tell people you were from Hawaii, and they wouldn't question your citizenship status. (After all, you had an official card from the State of Hawaii.)

I wonder if a Hawaiian "Certificate of Live Birth" can be obtained and used in the same way.

The birth announcements are fake because the Obamas never lived at that address.

The address listed, 6085 Kalanianaole Highway, was the residenc of Orland Scott Lefforge, a Professor at UH at Manoa, Dept. of Speech, his wife Thelma, and their three children, all under 7-years of age in 1961. Later, Professor Lefforge became an assistant to Sen. Daniel Inouye in 1967. He died July 4, 2007 at the age of 91. His wife Thelma died June 12, 2008.

Ten days from Thelma Lefforge’s death is plenty of time to cut, typeset, & paste a new birth announcement. The announcements were scanned and emailed by the librarian in Hawaii to a blogger named Lori and then to the TD [texasdarling.wordpress.com] blog.

Not only are the announcements phoney, but Obama’s student file at Hawaii’s education department is missing, presumed stolen. Why? Because it is the only one that is missing AND would contains certified copy of his real birth certificate.

This is important to note: Professor Lefforge was a left-wing activist in Hawaii’s Democrat Party. This whole scenario has Democrat Party official’s fingerprints all over it.

They are desperate to keep the truth of Obama’s identity a secret.
