Supporters of a case that disputes the legitimacy of Barack Obama's presidency claimed a small victory today when U.S. District Judge David O. Carter told them to fix their paperwork and that he would listen to "the merits" of their case. But others present for the hearing Monday at the federal courthouse in Santa Ana stressed that the case remains a long way from ever getting a full airing in court and may never get to that point.

Somewhere, sometime this case has to break through. There is one judge out there that will rule for truth and transparency. The problem is, it will be taken to the Supreme Court, and I doubt they allow it happen..

The L.A. Times posted this? Did someone dipped to far into their medical marijuana stash?

Realize that this is a rather low court. Even if it is decided against Bambi it will be appealed and appealed and appealed thru the system ad infinitum til they find a judge that agrees. Then 'we' have to appeal the appeal. All super time consuming and allowing Obama to wreck his havoc on this nation. Finally, supposing 'we' win what will the courts decide on the validity of his presidential actions to that point? /scared

“The L.A. Times posted this?”
Why are you acting all surprised? You know they did, because you were posting on the thread about this last night.

Postponing the inevitable revelation that our goverment officials did not perform their sworn duty in checking out Zero prior to the election will only make the ensuing condemnation all the more devastating. It will come out...all of it, sooner or later and it won’t be pretty. The threats, delays and dissmissive arrogance on this issue and others all have the fingerprints of this horrid administration and their disgusting Chicago style tactics. Wheather during his term or afterwards Obama will go down along with many others in colusion or in apathy.

Getting a court to accept a case that may prove Obama ineligable to be President of the United States and ultimately force him to step down is a small victory?
It would be interesting to see what Pravda on the Pacific would think a big victory was. Oh yes, I'm sure it would be that Cheney was trying to kill Al Qaeda and Taliban leaders. Who knew? LMAO
The following is directed to Freepers who haven't donated or signed up for monthlies yet...

is good. 100% is better. You know you're going to do it. Pull the trigger! You don't have to pay it all now. $5 now, $25 next week, $10 later... keep the ball rolling.
Monthly donorship is a good way for us to avoid having to do the Freepathons. Besides, it's a great way to pony up in style.
If you're on the verge of becoming a monthly donor or you think you would like to up your monthly donation a bit, has Jim got a deal for you.
Check this out. There's an added incentive for a limited time only. (Always wanted to type that...)
Thanks to Freepers who have been frequenting the Freepathon thread to ham it up with folks over there. It helps to raise the visibility of the Freepathon.
Jump into the Monthly Donorship special thread too.

While it is true that this hearing is only about procedural items, there are two significant advances here:
- there is a judge who is not only willing, but desires to air this issue out. Previous judges did not want any part of this hot potato.
- the Keyes case is not dead. The Keyes case is the one with the greatest standing. And there is strong precident to bolster his case.

The SC doesn’t want it. They want the lower state courts to decide.

I wonder how they’ll spin it when the case is won. (assuming, of course, it really goes forward)

I actually fear the consequences if it’s proven he isn’t elligible. It won’t be a pretty sight.

I was wrong last nights post was from WND not API, but either way there is a vast difference between either of them posting such a story and the LA Times posting it.

I agree. I think we have to prepare for a backlash in either case. I’m worried for the judget who agreed to hear the case in the first place.

I agree as to the “pathway” of litigation but, at some point during the multitude of appeals, some of the barely astute citizens (like Stossel or Tapper?) are apt to ask, “Why doesn’t he just show the BC.”

Perhaps you had left the thread by then, but this article from the LAtimes blog was posted last night in that thread. I made an assumption(and probably shouldn’t have) that you saw the link in the thread.
