You don't need a briefing book on being a mother to answer this one:
What do you do when your daughter comes home complaining that she wants to drop off the swim team or never go to school again because the other kids are being mean and saying terrible things about her family?
Sure, the first few times, you want to beat up the bullies with your bare hands. But you don't. These are life lessons. You tell her about "sticks and stones," you tell her to swim even faster, laugh in their faces, and prove by her success that she's better than they are. Listen to your mother, you say, mothers know about this.
Sarah Palin didn't just take a political risk when she quit the governorship of Alaska without completing her first term. She took herself out of electoral politics for good. Alaskans will never again elect her. And half a term as governor will never be seen as enough to qualify for the presidency.
Especially for a quitter and a sore sport.

Ya’know, every now and then I try to read one of her screeds, but I just keep hearing that VOICE! Like fingernails on a chalkboard...
What is interesting is that the Left is so focused on quitting that they completely ignore who has been abandoned. For example when an employee suddenly quits a job, a head football coach quits a team without notice in the middle of thse season (Bobby Petrino), or a churchgoer stops going to church and no longer drops $10 in the offering plate the argument can be made that the boss is inconveniencd, that GM and the team are put out and rendered ineffective for the next game and the church will have to meet its expenses will less funds but when Sarah Palin leaves her job as governor she will no longer be paid and Sean Parnell will take over where she left off; the Alaskan government will operate as it has since the beginning of the Palin administration, no services will be cut and life will go on as normal.
So who did Sarah abandon or deprive from her ‘quitting’. No one. End of story.
And in the ‘quitting meme’ if Sarah Palin goes out as a civilian and work tirelessly while travelling througout the 48 states how can anybody say she is quitting. Quitting is associated with giving up, yielding, succumbing, saying Uncle, abandoning one’s post without a replacement, AWOL, throwing un the towel or acquiescing under pressure like some RINO’s tend to do.
Susan Estrogen is just another liberal Palin hater.

This is really stupid, even for Estrich.
Estrich doesn’t do too well advising Democrats so why should Republicans care what she says. Oh, maybe she is helping Democrats by criticizing Republicans so the MSM can regurgitate it endlessly. Yeah, that will probably work.
