Susan Estrich: Voters sure to punish Palin (Barf Alert)
Inquirer ^ | Sun, Jul. 12, 2009 | Susan Estrich

You don't need a briefing book on being a mother to answer this one:

What do you do when your daughter comes home complaining that she wants to drop off the swim team or never go to school again because the other kids are being mean and saying terrible things about her family?

Sure, the first few times, you want to beat up the bullies with your bare hands. But you don't. These are life lessons. You tell her about "sticks and stones," you tell her to swim even faster, laugh in their faces, and prove by her success that she's better than they are. Listen to your mother, you say, mothers know about this.

Sarah Palin didn't just take a political risk when she quit the governorship of Alaska without completing her first term. She took herself out of electoral politics for good. Alaskans will never again elect her. And half a term as governor will never be seen as enough to qualify for the presidency.

Especially for a quitter and a sore sport.

I once saw Susan Estrich here at the Bed, Bath, and Beyond, she looked like a skeleton. They must really fix her up before they put her on TV because in person, she looked half dead

I let my daughter quit basketball earlier this year. She was unhappy, the girls were all being catty with each other, she wasn’t getting play-time, and it was a giant suck on my time and energy. The point is sometimes cost is greater than benefit.

If by punish she means ‘vote for’ then yes. Voters will punish her.

a sore sport.

Now where did that come from?
Sarah knows more about sport and fairness than susan can
imagine.

I love watching lefties shoot themselves in the foot,
makes me want to reload for them.

Look up barf in the dictionary and you will see Estrich's picture. It also appears by big-mouth bass.

Susan’s a week behind: that was the theme of the pundits last weekend. Conventional wisdom has turned to acknowledging that Palin may be the favorite for the Republican nomination—though of course they are all certain she couldn’t possibly defeat Obama!

I see the resemblance, but yeah she looked terrible, she covered herself with a blanket, she was there with her granddaughter. I was like damn, chick already has one foot in the grave by the way she looked. She is just another liberal hack. No wonder she looks like that, all that hate in her soul, no wonder

Are these clowns like Estrich incapable of comprehending the written word? It was costing Alaska millions by Palin staying on fighting these bogus charges. She did the noble thing. These people are as dense as a door-knob, but thankfully it sounds as if a large percentage of the American public is not.

“What do you do when your daughter comes home complaining that she wants to drop off the swim team or never go to school again because the other kids are being mean and saying terrible things about her family?”

To correct the analogy, the story would continue as follows:

Your daughter attempts to defend herself from the mean kids, but the mean kids parents file lawsuits against her to stop her from doing it. You as her parent, want to keep her on the swim team, so you dig into your 401k account to pay a lawyer to defend the suits. More and more teammates get their parents to file suit against your daughter. Now all your resources are exhausted and your daughter isn’t getting to swim because the coach is one of the other kids parents.

You, as a loving parent, pawn the title to your car to get some extra money for the lawyer. More lawsuits and now you’re out of money. You have to pull your daughter off the team because you’re now bankrupt, and now have that stigma attached to your name. The End

What is funny about the chattering class commentary is last Fall, being the Governor of Alaska meant..-0-...to them, they acted as if the AK Governor was slightly below a House of Rep seat, now they act as if it was some great prize that never should have been relinquished barring some Burris type fiasco.

Sometimes the cost is greater than the benefit.

How true.

Now if your daughter's softball team were all getting deliberately beaned with softballs as the refs stood and jeered them - that would also pose a great cost of her remaining on the team. And that is why Sarah is respected by Alaska for her decision tp spare them another 18 months of paying the state to do little else except respond to democrat dirty tricks.

Estrich just “won't” get it. Her man Dukakis spent how much state taxpayer time and money campaigning for the presidency?

My senior year I quit the basketball team. My coach was a bitch nobody on the team was happy and I wanted to enjoy my senior year. My mother told me to quit if I wasn’t happy, that’s life. They are overplaying the “quitter” card just like they do with everything else.

Susan Estrich is one of the most disgusting “talking heads” I have ever seen/heard. Whenever she comes on, I immediately change the channel or turn off the TV.
