I am sure that is true for many folks, but I was ready to meet up with conservative patriots long before I was told about Free Republic! It was a wonderful parent of a former student who told me about FR. I got home from school went to FR and ended up joining that very day!

Thanks for Free Republic. There is nothing else like it. It’s a way to read the news & get opinions from intelligent professionals on specifics of any issue. It’s a great idea and I have been pointed to many other sources from this site. Thanks to you Jim and thanks to all the participants who are witty and clever and great with the posts and the often very funny graphics and insider banter.
It has been a year since I found this site and I have been very appreciative of all of you who help quell the sadness.
