ANCHORAGE, Alaska | Brushing aside the criticisms of pundits and politicos, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she plans to jump immediately back into the national political fray stumping for conservative issues and even Democrats after she prematurely vacates her elected post at month's end.
The former Republican vice-presidential nominee and heroine to much of the GOP's base said in an interview she views the electorate as embattled and fatigued by nonstop partisanship, and she is eager to campaign for Republicans, independents and even Democrats who share her values on limited government, strong defense and "energy independence."
"I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation," she said over lunch in her downtown office, 40 miles from her now-famous hometown of Wasilla population 7,000 where she began her political career.

And a big vocabulary, to boot. Impressive.
Thanks for pointing that out. I missed it, but you’re right. She’s not a property of the GOP.
In my state, Stupak and Kildee are pro-life. Dingell isn't but is on board against late term which is better than some considering his district has the city of Ann Arbor now.
I think Kucinich was actually pro-life until he ran for president. Bonior was until he wanted to be speaker.
Brings to mind the remark about 'bed and crackers'.
Zell Miller is retired.
After speaking to the Republican Convention (in 2004, I think), he was finished with the DemonRATs.
But I agree with the rest of your post.
Everyone bashed McCain and Bush for trying to reach out to like minded democrats.
and I think the bashing was more justified than not.
I think Sarah has been drinking McCain’s koolaid if she thinks this will work.
That's exactly the point here. "Conservative" democrats who reject her offer, risk losing their voters to the GOP candidate. She is making a shrewd move.
My Cleveland relatives still vote for Kook-cinich, unfortunately.
That's not true. My dad is a Conservative Democrat of the Truman mold.
That's not true. My dad is a Conservative Democrat of the Truman mold.
There are two RINO senators from New England and GOP congressmen that are far more liberal than some Southern Democrats!
GO SARA GO!
But isn't the real issue about not judging by physical appearance?
Hey, look there! It’s Ben ‘Black Cloud’ Ficklin stopping by to share his usual pessimism, doubts, and falsehoods! :^)
Isn't that the definition of RINO. Didn't Arlen Spector claim to be an independent voice of the gop ?
mark
I know of one - Bob Casey. There might be others. How about Gillebrand of NY?
Your points are correct.
If Sarah campaigns for a Democrat who voted for Pelosi, Stoyer or Reid for leadership as well as the likes of Rangel, Waxman et. al. for committee chairs, then she would be making a serious mistake.
Hopefully she won't since such votes for leadership positions and committee chairs goes against her shared values of "limited government, strong defense and energy independence."
” Ill vote for a conservative democrat
Is there even one somewhere? Somehow I doubt it. “
Are there many conservative Republicans left? Not many. The GOP is infiltrated with CFR globalists, hardly ‘conservative’. I’d rather see Palin support a conservative democrat than the too many RINO’s we have running the GOP now, like the Bush’s, Newt, Rudy, McCain, etc. etc. They don’t even follow the republican platform.
