Your points are correct.
If Sarah campaigns for a Democrat who voted for Pelosi, Stoyer or Reid for leadership as well as the likes of Rangel, Waxman et. al. for committee chairs, then she would be making a serious mistake.
Hopefully she won't since such votes for leadership positions and committee chairs goes against her shared values of "limited government, strong defense and energy independence."
Even if they voted for someone else, like Harold Ford, they're still voting for Democrats who will push a liberal, not conservative agenda.
And, here's the thing people don't realize about blue dogs; They vote for against liberal legislation only when their vote doesn't count. If it's a close vote, Herr Nancy cracks the whip, and they fall in line, with very few exceptions. And, on that rare occasion when they don't capitulate, they're punished.
Recently, there was the story of the junior congressman (woman) who voted against either the stimulus or the bailout and Nancy stripped her Capital building office and banished her to the one of the ancillary, and terribly inconvenient offices. Pelosi doesn't play games.
I will be interesting to look to see who did NOT vote for Pelosi, Stoyer or Reid. Probably very, very few.
