Army Officer: Is Army 'corps of chattel slaves'?
World Net Daily ^ | July 11, 2009 | Bob Unruh

A U.S. Army Reserve major from Florida with orders to report for deployment to Afghanistan within days has filed a court demand to be classified as a "conscientious objector" because without proof of the commander-in-chief's eligibility for office, the entire army "becomes merely a corps of chattel slaves under the illegitimate control of a private citizen."

A hearing on the questions raised by Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook, an engineer who told WND he wants to serve his country in Afghanistan, already has been scheduled for July 16 at 9:30 a.m., according to California attorney Orly Taitz, who is handling the claim.

Cook told WND he's ready, willing and able to carry out the military needs of the United States, but he raised the challenge to Barack Obama's eligibility to be president because if he would be captured by enemy forces while serving overseas under the orders of an illegitimate president, he could be considered a "war criminal."

"As an officer in the armed forces of the United States, it is [my] duty to gain clarification on any order we may believe illegal. With that said, if President Obama is found not to be a 'natural-born citizen,' he is not eligible to be commander-in-chief," he told WND only hours after the case was filed.

"[Then] any order coming out of the presidency or his chain of command is illegal. Should I deploy, I would essentially be following an illegal [order]. If I happened to be captured by the enemy in a foreign land, I would not be privy to the Geneva Convention protections," he said.

The order for the hearing in the federal court for the Middle District of Georgia from U.S. District Judge Clay D. Land said the hearing on the request for temporary restraining order will be held Thursday.

Files federal court challenge over Obama's refusal to prove eligibility. Another one, except this time this officer is called to active duty and preparing to deploy to Afganistan on July 16th.

Career over.

That being said, God bless him. Heroes aren’t found only on the battlefield. Questioning the chain of command is SRS BSNS.

I just hope he gets out of this with his retirement intact and no Leavenworth.

Yes, make “The Won” prove that he’s actually an American citizen.

I’d pay to see that.

...you know, the more this birth cert. story gets picked at, the more I think somethings gonna come of it....reminds me a lot of Watergate....starts small and inconsequential and takes on a life of it’s own...it needs a champion to take up the fight...somebody like FOX.

Career over indeed. IMHO, this is a stupid stunt that has NO chance of success. It’s probably better if this guy doesn’t deploy, as his judgement is flawed. If he wants to fight this battle, he should resign his commission and pursue it.

Here’s a guy with actual guts. Good for him. The nation comes first. Too bad there are none like him in Washington.

But then he won't have "standing"

I think Fox is waiting for the evidence to surface along with some court rulings before they touch it.Sounds whimpy of them though.

With the new policy of fighting in Afghanistan, I would not be surprised if a lot of our finest decided to bug out.

The 0 is not looking out for our Troops, but for the enemy.

Who we fight today, will be living legally in the US within a year or so.

So much for the “War on Terror”.

How can this officer call into question Oabma’s citizenship then call him a “private citizen”??

Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook? I was hoping for a Gen. James Matoon Scott.

He’s not questioning Obama’s citizenship, he’s questioning whether or not he’s a ‘natural born’ citizen. There is a difference.

It's becoming more apparent that O’s handlers know that O is not a natural born citizen. They see this as an advantage. They have leverage over him to do their bidding. Once he has accomplished their immediate goals, he may become expendable. Then they will install the nitwit Biden who will look like a patriot by comparison. O will not finish out his term.

Perhaps his love of country is so great that he is willing to trade his career for a chance at exposing the greatest fraud ever perpetrated on the American people?

He’s not questioning the president’s status as a citizen, but his status as a “natural born Citizen”. If the president is not a “natural born Citizen” (and it would require a decision of the Supreme Court to define the term) then his election is null and void under Art. II Sec. 1 of the U.S. Constitution, and therefore he is neither the President of the United States nor the Commander in Chief of its armed forces. All orders issued by him via the chain of command invalid would therefore be invalid.

That is one scary scenario . . . and not just because ol' Joe would be president. Would these bastards see an "advantage" to removing the encumbent with "extreme prejudice" in order to have the "bloody shirt", i.e., a club by which to beat, shame, and guilt a large segment of the American population?

I will apologize in advance. My tin foil hat's a little too tight this morning.

This officers orders are legal. Obama's citizenship may very well be another country but until it is proven conclusively this Maj needs to follow the orders of his chain of command.

The President's legitimacy to hold office is a legal issue not a military one. Unless Cook has uncovered concrete proof that Obama cannot hold office legally he needs to follow orders or suffer the consequences.

This guy is just a right wing Lt Watada.

I've always been a bit confused about all this ruckus over Obama birth certificate.

Don't misunderstand me, I would love for him to present the real authentic certificate to finally put to rest this question, I doubt he can

My confusion is simply according to the Constitution the only way to remove a POTUS is by impeachment, which is simply not going to happen even if it is proved beyond a shadow of doubt he was not eligible.

I seriously doubt the SCOTUS is willing to overturn what was obviously the will of the people electing this usurper

Its real hard to undo history

I see it as sort of spitting in the wind

I think he has guts, too.

Unlike the worthless Hoosier Chief Justice who swore in Buttcrack.

Amazing that you could be a judge and rise that far in the system and still have no calcium in your spine bones.
