Former Bay State Gov. Mitt Romney is locked in a statistical dead heat with Sarah Palin for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination, despite the Alaska governors abrupt resignation last week, according to a new poll of Republican voters.
Romney leads all Republican presidential contenders, garnering 25 percent of the vote, edging out Palin (24 percent), former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (22) and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (14 percent) in the Rasmussen poll released yesterday.

Sarah Palin gains momentum as each day passes.
If the grand lady of Alaska runs the GOP primaries will be but a formality. The nomination going to her, hands down.
ATTN: Romney Supporters
Maligning, smearing, and lying about Sarah Palin will not elevate your candidate's status one iota. It is a shame, a genuine shame, that you have to debase yourselves by slandering this truly decent lady rather than promoting your man by airing his achievements and accomplishments.

So, basically, from your posts, you don’t trust Romney or Sarah Palin?

I held my nose and voted McCain last year. I will never vote for that left wing RINO socialist SOB Romney.

If it was held today my guess is Palin would carry Iowa and Romney New Hampshire, next is South Carolina, with the current governor now out of the running I guess it would be a fight between the conservative and the liberal in the primary and while I hope the conservative would win, how many libs have moved there from the NE over the last few years?-- I cannot see Pawlenty getting any traction --... on to Florida; we may get a bit of a clue from who wins the senate there which way the state is really leaning these days...
all is just guesses from the gut.

Why would Sarah trust him in her cabinet with all the backstabbing he did to other candidates during the primary and to her since she was chosen even using his surrogates?
He was an Indy during Reagan years and then wanted the Reagan mantle which is good enough for me to say he needs to find something else to do. His ego wouldn’t let him answer to a woman President IMHO.

Fair enough. All i know is that I have no love for Governor Perry.
To: goldwaterepublican
who were you for wayyyy back then?Thompson. Then, after he dropped out, I picked the least statist out of McCain, Huckabee, and Paul.
obama i would guess since your probably one of the people who said voters would stay home rather than vote for mccain.
Where have I seen this specious strawman reasoning before?
I never supported Obama, nor do I encourage folks to stay home, as it's still important to vote for other offices, referenda, and items on the ballot.
its all jindahl now..suck on that.
Jindal has about as much chance as Sanford (whom, pre-political seppuku, I supported)...which is to say, NONE.

Does Romney think he can buy the election again?
Romney realizes that anyone who comes across as an adult and has a basic understanding of mathematics has a shot against Obama in 2012.
Personally, that's also the reason why I'd pick Gingrich over Palin anytime.

I gather (I am not a Texas voter) that Texans don’t like Perry, but they like KBH less.
Bit like picking a punishment.
I actually have met KBH on some matters related to Israel (I am an Israeli citizen and USA citizen) and found her to be, well, a typical beltway politician who believed her feces had no odor.
