Former Bay State Gov. Mitt Romney is locked in a statistical dead heat with Sarah Palin for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination, despite the Alaska governor’s abrupt resignation last week, according to a new poll of Republican voters.
Romney leads all Republican presidential contenders, garnering 25 percent of the vote, edging out Palin (24 percent), former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (22) and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (14 percent) in the Rasmussen poll released yesterday.

Palin is stronger than Jindal for sure, but republicans need new leaders to step it up and fast. Palin is a great party spokeswoman and has amazing fund-raising abilities. She would easily win about 16 red states too.

fyi, the boston globe is liberal, owned by the NY times, the hearld is conservative, it is reputable, and even in “taxachusetts”, conservative papers are still there.
mitt did a better job in MA than Palin did in AK.
It is easy to do well in AK, when oil royalties allow you to have zero taxes, provide services and pass out checks, vs. MA where you have a bunch of liberals to try to herd and no natural resources to speak of.
I think the Repub nomination will be Romney, and I think if he is nominated,. he should take Palin as his VP. Romney/Palin? Isn’t that a dream ticket?
