'Thanks So Much For Going Up Next To The Fish And Getting The Interview'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 07/07/2009 6:03:38 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

How brave of Kate Snow. Not only making the trek to Flyover Country North, but even getting close to some yucky fish. That seemed to be Diane Sawyer's attitude in congratulating Snow for snagging an interview with Sarah Palin.

The soon-to-be-former Governor of Alaska invited Snow out for some salmon fishing. At one point the intrepid ABC reporter observes to Palin: "you have some fish guts on you."

Back in the studio, Sawyer saluted Snow's guts.

Not sushi, sashimi. Sushi is the rice roll stuff. Sashimi is the naked raw fish.

Those reporterettes are so jealous that Sarah Palin can have fish guts hanging off of her and STILL look 10 times better than them. It must physically hurt to be that petty.

If someone knew nothing about Diane Sawyer, they would conclude that she grew up “back east” with the rest of the elites.

But not all of us have amnesia.

Diane Sawyer did not represent New York, Connecticut, or Massachusetts or any of those tony places, as she entered (and won) the Junior Miss Pageant of 1963. No, she hailed from that metropolis that we call around here as: KENTUCKY

That is how she paid for HER college, as a beauty contestant. Got that?

Did I forget to mention that Ms. Sawyer, early in her career was a “weather girl?” That is, btw, what they were called in those days. Got that?

So lets just sit here and think about this. We have a female who earned her college money via the beauty pageant route. Who came from a smallish, backwards state (according to them).

And one of her first gigs was in local broadcast tv, but not good enough to be the anchor. Sawyer a “weather girl.”

Maybe she doesn’t realize it, but Ms. Sawyer IS Sarah Palin.

“do you know if Michelle Kosinski is still around?”

Ah, the star of Canoegate! Yes, she’s around, currently avoiding the puddles while covering the Michael Jackson story out in LA.

PS: for those unfamiliar with Canoegate, a few years ago Kosinski got busted in a very amusing manner faking a story: http://newsbusters.org/node/2199

Actually, it’s my fault. Normally when I create an edited clip, I insert flash transitions at the cuts so viewers can tell something’s been deleted.
