Congressman on Jackson: 'He Was a Pedophile'
TMZ ^ | July 5, 2009

Posted on 07/06/2009 10:30:29 AM PDT by Pinkbell

Congressman Pete King (R-NY) feels we should be honoring the men and women of the Armed Forces -- and not a "pedophile" and "child molester" like Michael Jackson.

Standing in front of the American Legion in Wantagh, King ripped into America's celebration of the life of Michael Jackson -- instead of the people who serve in the military.

It's safe to say King wasn't one of the 1.6 million people who signed up for memorial tickets.

Yeah, and O.J. was never convicted of murder either.

I had an upchuck moment at the gym this morning when one woman asked the class if anybody was going to “the funeral.” I thought a gym member had died, but one of the other women asked, “oh, you mean Michael’s memorial?” Then they all began lamenting the fact that they hadn’t applied for tickets. They were seriously wishing they could go to California (I live in Florida) to “say goodbye to Michael.”

I was so stunned and disgusted I could barely finish the workout!

This is irresponsible of King. Although I agree that the men and women in the armed forces deserve much more coverage, Jackson is innocent till proven guilty

An idiotic thing to say, by anyone, much less a Republican Congressman. Let’s throw them all out and start all over.

"Living with Michael Jackson" [MJ on sleeping with children: It's very charming. It's very sweet]
MJHouse.com ^

Transcript of Bashir interview. Video of it also.

Excerpt:

Jackson: "When you say bed, you're thinking sexual, they make that sexual, it's not sexual." "We're going to sleep, I tuck them in and I put a little like, er, music on and when it's story time I read a book." "We go to sleep with the fireplace on. I give them hot milk, you know, we have cookies, it's very charming, it's very sweet, it's what the whole world should do."

[snip]

Bashir: "Did you ever sleep in the bed with them?"

Jackson: "No. But I have slept in a bed with many children. "I slept in a bed with all of them when Macauley Culkin was little: Kieran Culkin would sleep on this side, Macauley Culkin was on this side, his sisters in there...we all would just jam in the bed, you know. "We would wake up like dawn and go in the hot air balloon, you know, we had the footage. I have all that footage."

Bashir: "But is that right Michael?"

Jackson: "It's very right. It's very loving, that's what the world needs now, more love more heart."

Bashir: "The world needs a man who's 44 who's sleeping in a bed with children?"

Jackson: "No, you're making it - no, no you're making it all wrong ..."

Bashir: "Well, tell me, help me ..."

Jackson: "Because what's wrong with sharing a love? You don't sleep with your kids? Or some other kid who needs love who didn't have a good childhood?"

Bashir: "No, no I don't. I would never dream ..."

Jackson: "That's because you've never been where I've been mentally ..."

Boy is King gonna take some heat. He dares throw stones at the Deity.

My only nit.

Shouldn’t he be called a pederast?

Neither were many of the priests who hit on kids. That said, Jackson was one screwed up person, and it it is hard for me not to have pity on him. THAT said.
he does not deserved the adulation they he is receiving from his fans. Men at war are dying for their country on this Fourth of July, and what is the media paying attention to? A wretch of a man who could sing and dance.

He got one thing right, at least.

Amy: John I’m leaving you!
John: But why?
Amy: Because you are a pedophile!
John: That’s a big word for a 10 year old!

Good for him. A moment of silence for this molester but not for the soldiers killed in the Muslim terrorist attack on the recruiting station? Sick.

Yep never convicted.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you view it the jury did what they were supposed to. One of the jurors said something like “we all agree that he did molest a child, just not the one in this case, so we had to find not-guilty”.

I think it is irresponsible in the sense that he is only going to bring crap down on himself. You and I can (or cannot in your case) opine on this as private citizens, but he is held to a different standard.

So I do agree in that respect, it is only going to hurt the party...ah well. It turns out nearly anything any conservative says will hurt the party, so...what the hell.

It's a tired and overly used, and almost entirely misapplied cliché, I know, but in this instance it fits. He speaks truth to power in these remarks. Good luck dealing with the inevitable backlash, Rep. King. Thanks for telling it like it is.
