COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Gay and lesbian Mennonites dressed in bright pink have gathered with others outside the church's biannual convention in Columbus to criticize its leaders for trying to push them out.

That's their point. Back in the day, gays used to refer to everything they did as "Outrageous!" That was the whole idea -- to disguise rage against straight society in women's clothes, makeup and a "gay" facade.

I just read about a community of Mennonites in Bolivia where seven of their men were arrested for drugging neighboring girls and women (ages 11-41) and raping them in their sleep. It’s a truly bizarre case and they think there may be several hundred victims (mostly other Mennonites), because the guys have apparently been doing this for years.

On top of that, they found another Mennonite man in another community about 50 km away who was doing the same thing and had raped some 40 women.

The community is named “Manitoba” and apparently the Mennonites came to Bolivia from Canada as missionaries in the 1970s and now have a community of about 2-3000 people there. It used to be a German undertaking and had a radio station that broadcast evangelical sermons in German.

Why doesn't this immoral minority just start their own church? Why must they impose their deviancy upon the rest of us?

That would make them a majority in their group and would engender no special benefits.

Gay activists always toss around the word “exclusion”, but are the Mennonites excluding people because of the inclination or the activity? If only the latter, that is just a matter of excluding unrepentant sinners. Christian must love the sinner and hate the sin.
