Some quotes of the day...a good read before you head out of the office for the 4th...

“The fact of the matter is that the unemployment rate is much worse than the administration contemplated or that most people expected,” Economist Paul Krugman, to ABC’s Jennifer Parker

“My rear end is on the line, just like yours. I’m the guy in charge of this deal. So if it doesn’t work, it’s me.” - Vice President Joe Biden, quoted in Time Magazine, on the success or failure of the stimulus package.

"If you account for those who have given up looking for a job but want to work or those working only part-time but want full time employment, the unemployment rate rises to 16.5%." - The ABC News Business Unit, assessing the dismal numbers in this morning's Jobs Report

What are these people talking about??? Haven’t they heard. The pres—ent’s stimulus pacakge has worked perfectly! I heard him say so yesterday. He has prevented layoffs and kept people employed. Is somebody implying our supreme leader is a liar?

Then you have to take into account the people like my son who went from 60 hrs a week to less than 40 and those who have had high paying jobs that they lost and are now working for much less.

>> “My rear end is on the line, just like yours.”

Well, for what it’s worth, if Biden’s rear end is in the game, by definition his head is in, also.

Yeah and probably accept his resignation only to appoint Shrillery. Instead of a Socialist and a Buffoon, we’d have two Marxist Alinsky deciples.

Here is the deal.

If a conservative had been elected and had cut taxes, the recession would of ended in May...

But since the zero decided to increase spending instead, it will take years now to recover. The problem with increasing spending to battle a recession is that it takes too long to spend the money. A massive tax cut would have given an immediate jolt to the economy. But increasing spending will only have a modest impact at best.

Look at it this way: When someone is having a heart attack you can jolt them back to life immediately will a quick surge of electricity... but attaching a AA battery to them will do nothing.

>> Where’s your “change” and “hope” now, Obama-lemmings?

A lot of the Obamalamadingdongs were washed up before the election... the whole point was, they wanted someone from the Gubmint to take care of them.

I don’t think they thought this one through, but they were lazy before, they’re still lazy, and they haven’t changed their opinion. They will still vote for The One who promises them cradle-to-grave gravy.
