Readers of Catholic Online are familiar with the group which calls itself the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.” They claim international membership. One of their most active chapters is located in San Francisco, California. They summarize their mission as “Defining San Francisco Values Since 1979” on their outlandish San Francisco web site. In an editorial in 2007 entitled “Scandal in San Francisco”, I wrote an account of their sacrilegious activities during Holy Mass on October 7, 2007 at the Most Holy Redeemer Parish in San Francisco, California. They hate the Catholic Church because she stands for the truth concerning the dignity of human sexuality and authentic marriage among many other things.
One of their members, a bearded man who dresses in outlandish make up and women’s clothing and goes by the name of Sister Dana Van Iquity, writes for the San Francisco Bay Times. These folks think that their profane, sacrilegious mocking of all things related to the Catholic Church is funny. In a column dated June 18, 2009 and entitled “Second Pink Brick to Go to Runner Up Archbishop George Niederauer” Sister Dana Van Iquity confirmed the bad news which has also been reported in the “California Catholic Daily.” Archbishop George Niederauer will be dishonored during the 39th San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade on June 27 and June 28th with a second “Pink Brick award.” This “award” is given to the person or organization which the committee of homosexual activists deems to have caused the most harm to the “LGBT community” (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender). This will be the second effort of the homosexual activists to dishonor the San Francisco Archbishop through public ridicule. They have bestowed such a “pink brick” on him in the past.

There may be a peaceful way in which the civil authority could do next to nothing but watch, keep the peace, and keep the traffic flowing.
Taking after those rebellious degenerate "critical mass" bikers overtaking the downtown streets of SF every last Friday of the month, we could have a Catholic Drive By thru the Castro district, a peaceful demonstration by a fleet of say, a few hundred slow cruising cars where each having a looped short electrical extension chord dangling in the rearview mirror with the Male and Female ends connected.
Yes, that's the ONLY way an electrical chord would work :-D
Hey, the dangling chord is just like a bumper sticker in which the cops couldn't bother you, at least not in SF. It is not offensive to the public but only to the homos. Ooooooooooops, the public in SF generally means homos and their sympathizers, but there is room for good will passerby.
For those previously adulterous catholic man or woman willing to do public penance, perhaps a few short chords connected in series would be appropriate.

I agree that the pastors and priests
are content to do nothing. Some have
become comfortable. Some of the same
pastors have rationalized saying that
we should leave the door open because
you never know when a homosexual will
come through the door and be saved who
would never have come through the door.
These are the reasons why I always make
a point to challenge my church’s pastoral
staff. Singing hymns and making nice sermons
is not enough. We are not living in a cloister.
Challenge your priest or pastor and ask him
if he is telling the truth, even if it’s about
small things like you should do the church
bulletin because that’s what God wants you
to do. Then you will be brave to confront
him about the big social issues too.
Don’t forget the blood of Christ in everything
you do, especially with dealing with Rick
Warren or your pastor.
Absolutely. All men (especially men), in all walks of life, when in positions of power or leadership, they begin to think they can brake the rules... "they are especial."
On the other side, we, the little people, have a DUTY to keep them in check... to hold them accountable. Communications makes it possible for us today TO HAVE A VOICE... that must he heard... even by our Pastors and churches.
Let's all 'encourage' them to do what's right
