The Supreme Court announced Monday it will not give further consideration to a lawsuit brought by a fired CIA agent and her husband against high ranking Bush administration officials, including former Vice President Dick Cheney.
The decision is a victory for Cheney and his former chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, former White House Chief of Staff Karl Rove, and former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage. They and nine unnamed co-defendants were sued by Valerie Plame Wilson and her husband Joseph after her CIA cover was leaked to reporters.

"...were sued by Valerie Plame Wilson and her husband Joseph after her CIA cover was leaked to reporters..." ...by her husband, as part of a rogue plot to bring down a sitting President.

She was/is a loose-lipped woman who blabbed her agent status while rolling under the covers. She should have been fired right then and there.

BTW, since when was she a “fired” CIA agent? Dare I hope there is indeed justice in this world? ...But I suspect that’s just a brain-fart on the part of the reporter.

For the sake of further irony, guess who took Peter Fitzgeralds Senate seat after he declined to run again. Yup, it was The Won.Yep, and I don't know that I can ever forgive Peter Fitzgerald for that, as his refusal to run ultimately gave us Zero.

I did. Not sure what your point is. Very simple. The very last sentence of the article reaads as follows: "Monday's ruling by the Supreme Court, made as usual without comment, leaves the lower court rulings in place."

Well, I'm grateful for any small victory.
Especially agains puddin'head Wilson and his last-place-trophy wife.
When both of them sink into obscurity after their 15 minutes of plame, watch for a divorce.
Remember, you read it here first.

"Very simple."
I may be a little dense, but the quote you highlighted is precisely what I was basing my original point on. I understand that the Supremes seldom comment and I was playing on that to suggest that 'no comment' would be the mainstream media's position on this. In effect the court declared a loss for Plame. but the media will ignore that.
What exactly am I missing, my cryptic friend?

Steeriiike one! The couple sued seeking unspecified financial damages but their lawsuit was dismissed by a federal trial court judge.Steeriiike two!! That decision that was upheld last year by an appellate court.
Steeriiike three!!! Monday's ruling by the Supreme Court, made as usual without comment, leaves the lower court rulings in place.

Poor old whatshername, no longer famous or meaningful! There's an upcoming movie about the Plame-Name-Blame-Game case. It stars Sean Penn as Wilson, and Naomi Watts as Plame. The movie is due out next year. Since Plame is listed as the writer for this piece of trash, you can be sure it will be **cough**gag** "impartial."

Lets not forget Fitzgerald who continued this investigation even though he knew from the start who had talked to the press.
He pushed on members of the then administration until he could concentrate on Mr. Libby. No crime was committed and no one was ever prosecuted for the non crime.
Fitzgerald should be disbarred for the crime that he committed!
