THE WHITE HOUSE
Office of the Press Secretary _______________________________________________________________ For Immediate Release June 20, 2009
Statement from the President on Iran
The Iranian government must understand that the world is watching. We mourn each and every innocent life that is lost. We call on the Iranian government to stop all violent and unjust actions against its own people. The universal rights to assembly and free speech must be respected, and the United States stands with all who seek to exercise those rights.
As I said in Cairo, suppressing ideas never succeeds in making them go away. The Iranian people will ultimately judge the actions of their own government. If the Iranian government seeks the respect of the international community, it must respect the dignity of its own people and govern through consent, not coercion.
Martin Luther King once said - "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." I believe that. The international community believes that. And right now, we are bearing witness to the Iranian peoples belief in that truth, and we will continue to bear witness.
I thought he was quoting Rodney King, “Can’t we all just get along?”
lol!
Not to worry...those apply too.
I’m sure the SS is loving all his “excursions” so the cameras can capture him being the perfect family man. Always campaigning.
I’d suspect they could probably order just about an ice cream they wish IN the WH, but no, Zero has to be seen!
What a complete and utter tool!
ps Sorry for the triple post earlier!!
The Iranian government must understand that the world is watching me. We mourn each and every innocent post-birth life that is lost. We call on the Iranian government to stop all violent and unjust actions against its own people for the time being. The universal rights to assembly and free speech must be respected when the cameras are rolling, and the United States stands with all foreigners and American liberals who seek to exercise those rights when I find it convenient to allow it.
As I so brilliantly said in Cairo, suppressing ideas never succeeds in making them go away conveniently. The Iranian people will ultimately judge the actions of their own islamofascist government. If the Iranian government seeks the fear and grudging respect of the international marxist community, it must at least pretend to respect the dignity of its own people and govern through artificially manufactured consent, not overtly blatant physical coercion. The Black, Christian, Republican Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. - whom I will undoubtedly eclipse in the history of Man and whose accent I use at times - once said - "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." I believe I will appropriate that phrase whether it makes sense now or not. The international community believes in that kind of "visiony" thing. And right now, when the focus is temporarily on something else besides me, we are bearing witness to the Iranian peoples belief in that outdated, proletarian value called truth, and we will continue to bear witness until the world blinks, the news vans drive away and we can go back to our real agenda without all these pointless distractions.
Death to America.
GREAT POINT!!!
GREAT POINT!!!
GREAT POINT!!!
How would you handle the situation? How many US troops would you put at risk? Would you give the life of your son for the cause?
Democracy doesn’t rely on Obanana for “approval.”
Osama-bama doesn’t have a clue about life, love and S-E-X. He doesn’t even know how America thinks.
All he knows is that those who are stupid enough to fall for his rhetoric should be gouged for all they have.
Me?
I believe in America. I believe in Americans. I believe that no matter who our Adversary is, we can defeat him. This is the Second American Revolution.
RISE UP! GET GUNS! STAND TALL!! FIGHT!
AMERICA FIRST!!!
Liberalism fundamentally means not growing up and taking responsibility. When forced to be accountable the libs are cautious, whine and look for a way out. When your POTUS, there is no way out.
You could at least go to the UN talking sanctions... I don’t have a son yet, but someone’s daughter got shot in the street and Obama will just keep asking for no violence...or a “robust debate”.
Blah-blah-blah....
....and so forth....
or else I’ll talk some more.....
You know it’s a big story when Sheperd Smith actually comes in to work on a Saturday.
UN sanctions. The same people criticizing his current actions would say the same things about the UN. Ok, not your son, your brother, your brother-in-law, your best friend, whatever. She got shot in the street? What is Obama supposed to do? Let me guess. “We” should do something to help. Of course, by “we”, you actually mean someone else should bleed. Very noble.
Democrats have no problem whatsoever with vote fraud and rigged elections.
> As I said in Cairo, suppressing ideas never succeeds in
> making them go away.
A little bit of cognitive dissonance there Zer0?
Or is it just old fashioned hipocrisy?
