Tiller Clinic To Close Permanently

The family of Dr. George Tiller announced today that effective immediately, Women's Health Care Services, Inc., will be permanently closed. Notice is being given today to all concerned that the Tiller family is ceasing operation of the clinic and any involvement by family members in any other similar clinic.

Dr. Tiller was shot to death May 31st. Scott Roeder has been charged with murder.

A statement released this morning said, "The Tiller family wishes to assure Dr. Tiller's past patients that the privacy of their medical histories and patient records will remain as fiercely protected now and in the future as they were during Dr. Tiller's lifetime."

One can only hope. I frankly would like to hear that they’ve given up this ghastly practice and have decided to actually do some good in society.

Well, they would have stopped doing late term abortions, but we can rest assured they would still be doing abortions.

Agreeing with you. It will be hard for the family to admit and accept the wrong done by their loved one, but with God, all things are possible.

That guy has been doing these kind of abortions for years. he is now one of the last two. He is also 67 years old, one way or the other he won’t be doing it for long. In the article you linked to he said that there are fewer and fewer abortionists, because the prospective baby-killers have been scared off.

I think it is important to make it clear that Roeder was most certainly not "pro-life." Murderers are not pro-life, period.

If it turns out he is a recent Muslim convert, or even an ATHEIST, that'll really put their liberal panties in a twist.

Pro-lifers will be further painted as “domestic terrorists” who “can’t be allowed to succeed by way of violence”.

It doesn't seem like most in the media wants to go there, probably because they don't want to have to report the type of abortions Tiller was performing.

The killer did NOT do God’s work, however God will use a tragedy for good. God does not want people to die, but because of humankind’s free will, they do.

Find a pro-life group in your area and start protesting the clinic.

Pro-life groups can be found at virtually every Catholic Church, Priests-For-Life and dozens of other national pro-life groups around the country.

Keep praying, folks. One by one these killing houses will get closed down!

If the trial of Roeder deals at all with his state of mind he might get a lesser sentence, that would really have a chilling effect.

I still don’t see how that dismisses the very likely possibility of this bringing a very negative backlash, which would ultimately kill even more unborn children?

I don't think that is possible. More babies? More than 50 Million? The abortion industry has already eliminated more babies than the entire population of the United States in 1880. Eventually even the abortionists are going to tire of all the bloodshed.

There will be no backlash (other than angry rhetoric) because reasonable people cannot find any legitimate reason to come to the defense of what Tiller was doing in Wichita.
