The federal government mistakenly made public a 266-page report, its pages marked highly confidential, that gives detailed information about hundreds of the nations civilian nuclear sites and programs, including maps showing the precise locations of stockpiles of fuel for nuclear weapons.
The publication of the document was revealed Monday in an on-line newsletter devoted to issues of federal secrecy. That publicity set off a debate among nuclear experts about what dangers, if any, the disclosures posed. It also prompted a flurry of investigations in Washington into why the document was made public.
On Tuesday evening, after inquiries from The New York Times, the document was withdrawn from a Government Printing Office Web site.
...
President Obama sent the document to Congress on May 5 for Congressional review and possible revision, and the Government Printing Office subsequently posted the draft declaration on its web site.

That was just my opinion after reading and looking at each page.......:o)
Stay safe !!
Allah. And he was trained as an imam. That is who he is.
bump for later.
Would concrete steps include making sensitive information available, which would stir public debate about nukes, perhaps ending in a government consensus that many of our nuclear sites and arsenals are obsolete now and can be closed or destroyed? Especially since their value as secret installations has now been compromised?
I didn’t know until a couple of days ago that the GITMO detainees have access to 5 cable TV channels including Al Jazeera in English, on which they can follow the debate about their own detention.
Read the coverup comment of Thomas Cochran of the leftist National Resources Defense Council. Cochran is one of that organizations farthest left anti-defense ideologues.
He knows damned well that this document is the perfect target list for anti-nuclear energy environmental extremists, not to mention that old kind of Jihadist terrorists, local-wackos, and other extremists.
Beware of guys like Cochran. He is a danger to society.
“At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it? Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth in their military chest; with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years. At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.”
- Abraham Lincoln
“Highly Confidential”? The US government has no such classification.
THIS govt does nothing by mistake
That was my first thought as well. I wonder if the document was prepared and marked properly in the first place? There may have been multiple felonies committed in the release of this information.
I reckon it wasn't CNWDI, but you'd have to believe it would be TS/SCI.
BUT a careful reading of the article indicates this list was to be turned over the the UN IAEA. Now, what countries are on the IAEA? We were going to give this list to the UNITED NATIONS. AT a time when Iran is given the greenlight to create nuclear “energy” and N. Korea is playing with setting off nuclear bombs and Pakistan can't even begin to tell you where their nuclear sites are or whose control they are under?
I agree someone up thread said there is no such thing in government work that is “highly confidential.” It is either a state secret or not. Do folks have some idea these site are around, sure...civilians work there but they generally don't go blabbing their mouths off about it. See I am still outraged the list was posted on the GPO site, say internet.
But...trying to stay focused on the other hand...
The list was being set up to be given to the UNITED NATIONS. Yeah...right...they'll protect that information.
Can a junior senator really be this stupid? Focus not on what the “oops” is, because a few weeks from now it would be public knowledge anyway, but on the illogical reason we would turn state secrets over to an organization that holds no authority over us.
That is our talking point.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all the nukeworkers who guard, handle, and protect both our military and civilian nuclear facilities.
Most likely a more sophisticated type of GPS.
There exists many other forms much more accurate than Goggle.
D’oh!
Gorge W. Bush’s fault... Right?

This administration is beyond INEPT....
International banking families, the Illuminati, Satan, etc.....

Obama is the CIC. He IS the defense department.
“Who is Obama really working for?”
It’s not for the American people.....
Yup, we are much safer with *O* in charge!......../sarc
