One Dead, One Injured in West LR Shooting
Breaking News: Two Army Recruiters Wounded In Little Rock Shooting
Posted By: 2 mins ago
Latest Video:Little Rock - One person is in custody, and two others have been transported to a local hospital in serious condition following a double-shooting in west Little Rock Monday morning.
Authorities say the incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. at the U.S. Army Navy Career Center inside the Ashley Square Shopping Center at 9112 North Rodney Parham Road. According to Lt. Terry Hastings with the Little Rock Police Department, two recruiting officers standing outside the office were hit when the unidentified suspect drove up in a black SUV and began shooting.
The suspect led police on a brief pursuit towards downtown Little Rock before being taken into custody in the area of the Interstate 30/630 interchange.
According to the Little Rock Fire Department, a bomb squad is currently on the scene, checking out a suspicious package inside the suspect's vehicle.
Things are heating up.
I tend to listen to my head. Keeps me out of trouble.
That was my first thought, esp. since I live in Little Rock, AR.
Now that it is reported (STILL TO BE MSM CONFIRMED), explosive devices? NO way.....the most sophisticated device these gang bangers have in LR are the cell phone and crappy car with 22" rims (and SKS/s, jennings, Bryco, Lorcin, Hi-point, and other STOLEN handguns.
Gang bangers in Little Rock don't have the IQ to use explosives let alone spell E-X-P-L-O-S-I-V-E-S.
“Two military recruiters shot, one of them killed in drive-by”
The Associated Press
SNIPPET: “Two U.S. Army recruiters were shot Monday morning in an apparent drive-by shooting at an Army-Navy recruiting station on North Rodney Parham Road in Little Rock, said Little Rock Police. One of the recruiters died just before noon.
He is William Long of Little Rock. The identification of the other officer was not immediately available.”
SNIPPET: “Police have not identified the person taken into custody. Police initially called at the departments bomb squad after finding an assault rifle and a shotgun in the suspects vehicle, but no explosives were found.”
That site is loaded with filth...I normally don’t even read the links anymore...Vile posters, full of hate.
Our military has fought and died for DUers’ freedom to write these disgusting, ungrateful words....but I am free to not read it..I have high blood pressure.
Bears repeating.....
What the hell is going on?!
Or maybe a black panther?
Breaking news.
Unless it's "Nation of Islam".
Sad, angry ping
Do you have a link for this information? Thanks.
Thanks for the update, Cindy.
MY SPECULATION.
Shooting people down is not the answer to things we disagree with.
Shooting these recruiters was a despicable thing to do.
If they don’t throw the book at the shooter, I’m going to be very angry about it.
Too many times these days, the charges are plead down so that the guilty get off easier, on reduced charges. NO! They need to pay the accurate penalty for what they did.
When news breaks in these smaller towns, accuracy and speed really suffers. If this had happened in New York, you could watch it unfold in real-time via a helicopter live-feed.
As it stands, these local stations update their websites very infrequently, and they're hesitant to break into daytime programming lest they upset the soaps crowd.
Live Radio.....KARN breaking in periodically to report from the scene. Rumors flying around little rock, in emails, phone calls, and text messages.
