Child molesting in Arab cultures is a status related thing. Boys of lower status families are fair game for any male, and boys in their own families are fair game for older males in their families. Girls are married off early, but not usually molested because they would lose their financial value to their families if this happened. Boys, on the other hand, grow up to go on and molest other boys in their turn.
So possibly this man attacked the child of a higher status family or even somebody in his own family who outranked him.

And then give them 20 years of three squares, a warm bunk, and free medical.

I have to wonder if that had happen to a little girl, would the guy have been punished? Nope. Sharia says there must be 5 male witnesses for a crime against a female, or the perp goes free.

"Doing the same to a 11 year old girl and her mother hed probably walk free. They'd have stoned the girl.

Crucifixion? I really thought that ended about 2000 years ago.

According to the statement issued by the ministry Friday, shop owner Ahmed al-Anzi molested the boy and then strangled him with a length of rope. He then stabbed the boy's father to death when the man came looking for his son.
Hey, Mohammed was the last one allowed to do that stuff. What's this shop owner trying to do -- start his own religion?

I wonder who the jurors were who convicted this man, and if the Saudis have a special way to find a person guilty of heinous crime.

Beheading then crucifying doesn't make much sense. Humiliation of a corpse is probably a deterrent.
Humiliation of the corpse is an ancient tradition in the area. When you read in the Old Testament that someone was "hanged", it meant that his already executed body was put on public display.
"Cursed be everyone who hangs on a tree."

Beheading then crucifying doesn't make much sense. I seem to remember reading that the early crucifictionas were done on a T shaped "cross". It would make sense if they used one of those...

The English were so much more civilized in the 16th century Unless it was for Treason, when you got the gibbet, followed by eviscerating and burning the organs in front of your eyes, followed by cutting off your head and cutting your body into four parts, burying them at crossroads and placing their heads on the tower of London. They kept this up until Victoria's reign.

"Crucifying the headless body in a public place is a way to set an example, according to the kingdom's strict interpretation of Islam. Normally those convicted of rape, murder and drug trafficking in Saudi Arabia are just beheaded."I totally concur with their sentence in THIS INSTANCE.

The last occasion was on 24 August 1782 against Scottish spy David Tyrie in Portsmouth for carrying on a treasonable correspondence with the French (using information passed to him from officials high in the British government).
All of the extra ceremonies occurred after Tyrie was already dead. You can google it.

Wasn’t sure about the last such execution, IMHO it was still on the books until Victoria. Thanks for the Info.
