Did this happen in the Texas we know, or in some strange parallel universe?

'Viking2002 for President!'

I accept. And that ain't even the cross-grain in my Immigration Reform campaign plank. Wait'll ya see where I stand on the 2nd Amendment, national defense, and confiscatory taxation. I plan on diverting funds from the welfare, NEA, and NPR troughs to buy a pistol for every law-abiding citizen over 18 when I make it mandatory that every household keep at least one self-defense weapon on the premises. Then I plan on mandating that it be legal for open carry when you march into the IRS to dispute your annual April 15th bung-raping. That'll occur right after I show that poodle-headed little Nork across the pond what a real nuke can do. While it whistles over his head. Rounding up and trying the current gaggle of Seditionists occupying The Swamp will be an ongoing project. Kinda like fumigating for cockroaches - difficult, but achievable.

Hey, a president's gotta have his priorities in order, yes?

Git a rope.

What was the management thinking, and with what were they thinking?

The right solution was to council the African immigrant, not desecrate this woman's flag.

At least the pressure made them renege on their decision.

I admire a man with priorities,yet restraint, like yourself.

Wait,you might be too American to be an American president.

You can tell it happened in Texas because she eventually got to put the flag back up. If it had happened in most of the blue states, the flag would have been tossed in the garbage and the nurse forced to attend sensitivity classes.

Betcha flags sporting hammers & sickles, Che images, or UN blue wouldn't have sparked even a single complaint around her office

Or this one.

Or this one.

The next one would get you fired.

And this one would get you hauled off to jail as a potentional domestic terrorist.

So might this one

even though it's an official US Navy flag and flies over all US Navy vessels.

By God Almighty, someone's gotta say it, and I don't give a hoot in Hell about someone's feelings, opinions, perceived 'rights', or their revoltingly contrived indignation. I wasn't born and raised in this country to pay my taxes, serve in the military, and respect my laws, only to have some fetid, migrant earth pig complain about how I shall freely and legally exercise my First Amendment rights, when the only thing her thatched-hut mind construes from the United States Constitution is GIMME GIMME GIMME ME FIRST ITS MY COUNTRY NOW. Leftism in all it's forms, including this demented, deluded, post-American, multi-culti, psychosis-of-the-week horseshit currently passing itself off as 'Hope and Change', needs to legislated out of our national existence as a corrosive and toxic dogma which is deliberately and diametrically opposed to the very foundations of this nation's reason for being. Thomas Jefferson wrote that 'All men are created equal....'. It's what each individual does with themselves after being weaned from Mommy's teat that separates us. And we reserve and shall exercise the God-given right to associate ourselves with men of similar character. Don't like how we conduct our affairs?

If the boss says take it down then you have to ... it’s his place of business ....BOTOH ...everyone should know what he demanded ....

A supervisor took the flag down and laid it on the floor. Laying a flag on the floor is an act of extreme disrespect. I think that supervisor needs some sensitivity training on the cultural values of Americans and the proper protocol in handling an American flag.

I've been in court, where they now have Obama posters on almost every cubical, with his photo, and the word, "Change".

I was pretty floored to see this in a court building. Even in LA.

John Greenleaf Whittier. 1807–1892

81. Barbara Frietchie

UP from the meadows rich with corn,
Clear in the cool September morn,

The clustered spires of Frederick stand
Green-walled by the hills of Maryland.

Round about them orchards sweep, 5
Apple and peach tree fruited deep,

Fair as a garden of the Lord
To the eyes of the famished rebel horde,

On that pleasant morn of the early fall
When Lee marched over the mountain wall,— 10

Over the mountains winding down,
Horse and foot, into Frederick town.

Forty flags with their silver stars,
Forty flags with their crimson bars,

Flapped in the morning wind: the sun 15
Of noon looked down, and saw not one.

Up rose old Barbara Frietchie then,
Bowed with her fourscore years and ten;

Bravest of all in Frederick town,
She took up the flag the men hauled down; 20

In her attic-window the staff she set,
To show that one heart was loyal yet.

Up the street came the rebel tread,
Stonewall Jackson riding ahead.

Under his slouched hat left and right 25
He glanced: the old flag met his sight.

“Halt!”—the dust-brown ranks stood fast,
“Fire!”—out blazed the rifle-blast.

It shivered the window, pane and sash;
It rent the banner with seam and gash. 30

Quick, as it fell, from the broken staff
Dame Barbara snatched the silken scarf;

She leaned far out on the window-sill,
And shook it forth with a royal will.

“Shoot, if you must, this old gray head, 35
But spare your country’s flag,” she said.

A shade of sadness, a blush of shame,
Over the face of the leader came;

The nobler nature within him stirred
To life at that woman’s deed and word: 40

“Who touches a hair of yon gray head
Dies like a dog! March on!” he said.

All day long through Frederick street
Sounded the tread of marching feet:

All day long that free flag tost 45
Over the heads of the rebel host.

Ever its torn folds rose and fell
On the loyal winds that loved it well;

And through the hill-gaps sunset light
Shone over it with a warm good-night. 50

Barbara Frietchie’s work is o’er,
And the Rebel rides on his raids no more.

Honor to her! and let a tear
Fall, for her sake, on Stonewall’s bier.

Over Barbara Frietchie’s grave, 55
Flag of Freedom and Union, wave!

Peace and order and beauty draw
Round thy symbol of light and law;

And ever the stars above look down
On thy stars below in Frederick town! 60

It today’s America disrespecting our flag is freedom of speech ... now if it was another countries flag why that’d be hate speech ...
