So, you think that because one poster on FR comments that a diabetic supreme court nominee might not live to a ripe old age that all 350,000 of us are insensitive right-wing loons?
Got news for you pal. The owner of Free Republic (namely me) is diabetic and I've already lost one leg due to this despicable disease and the other leg looks like it's ready to fall off any day now. My sister died of complications brought on by juvenile diabetes at the tender age 43. I've out-lived her in years, but I don't think I'll be signing on to any life term judgeships. And I sure as hell wouldn't wish this disease on anyone else.

And if it's impossible for a minority to be racist, then it's impossible for a diabetic to be insensitive. /sarc

Did y'all catch his statement tonight that he doesn't think Obama is a far left guy? Unbelievable. This is just another BOR comment in his ongoing pass-giving and covering-up for the Usurper.
In the interview with the two crafty propagandists for Acorn, O'Reilly did a credible interview, but he completely missed the question he SHOULD have been asking.
He duly pressed hard on where Acorn money comes from and goes to, but the real clue of what Acorn is all about slipped right past him.
Twice, the women mentioned the real reason for Acorn's being.....i.e., "All Acorn wants is that all people have an equal playing field."
This sentence is, in a nutshell, the mantra for socialists and income-redistributors everywhere, including O'Robin Hood. It's all about being FAIR.....translated: wealth must taken from those that have so it can be more fairly apportioned and doled out by tax-supported front groups like Acorn to those that don't have.
These particulat statements deliberatly slipped into the conversation by these two socialists went right past O'Reilly. But he is not as well grounded in libspeak as we are. We know what to listen for. I'm sure others here caught the commie-type propaganda also.
Another clue as to the nature of Acorn is the persistent and intentional use by the two women of the word "democracy" (mob rule) during the interview. The word "republic" is NEVER uttered by a liberal. I was hoping Bill would call them on this, but he didn't.
I've been to a lot of streetcorner freeps in towns and cities like DC, Tallahassee, Chicago. If you're paying attention at these events, you'll note that the signs of lib protestors include the word "democracy" scrawled on them more than not.
I'd like to spend a day or two with the Bloviator so that I could give him a freeper tutorial on how the devil is in the details of his guests' libspeak........and how to isolate these details and then smack the lefties right back with them.

C’mon Jeff, diabetes wasn’t the issue.
Exactly my points Jim. FR is too freewheeling to believe we won’t get a few unfortunate comments that are borderline or slip by. Better to just agree with BOR and claim it is the price we pay so as not to suppress opinions or thought, AND, most of the posters on FR are smart enough to know the difference between spirited debate and recklessness and reject those that get close to or cross the line.
BTW - BOR just commented again, accepted your claim that some bad stuff slips through unintentinally. He laughed at your depiction of him...heheh.
The comment wasn’t that bad, the poster observed that the nominees condition might lead to a shorter term than others...technically correct but could be construed as wishful thinking.

BTW, I agree with you. I say we accept and embrace it rather than explode at every criticism. That makes us look guilty.
FR is never going to be a mainstream political website and that scares people. It’s too unpredictable.

In all fairness to Oreilly, the entire clip really shredded The Daily KOS more than FreeRepublic. If you listen to the latter half of his 4 minute segment in which he quotes what the Libbies say about the hated “white males,” he slammed them quite well.
I happened to read the thread with the post about the advantages of Sotomayor being a diabetic (that she may not live as long) and while I thought it was funny, it was indeed in poor taste. Some of the quality of the postings may give Freepers a bad reputation.
I happen to refer to Obama as Obutthole because I simply cannot stand the dishonest empty suit socialist/narcissist. Perhaps that’s too much.
So Jim, I suggest you might want to make a plea to your members (me included) to establish some level of decency. I know your moderators take down inappropriate comments. But how about periodically reminding people what your desired standards are (e.g. no death threats/wishes, no extremely foul language, etc.)
I think we can be more effective if we give the Libbies less to sink their dishonest teeth into, while at the same time piercing their myriad hypocrisies with logic & reason as we often to.
FreeRepublic is a fantastic website for reading intelligent analysis and creative views on recent events. The intelligence and wit/cleverness of many of the posters always impresses me.
