Re: Your on-air bashing of Free Republic
So, you think that because one poster on FR comments that a diabetic supreme court nominee might not live to a ripe old age that all 350,000 of us are insensitive right-wing loons?
Got news for you pal. The owner of Free Republic (namely me) is diabetic and I've already lost one leg due to this despicable disease and the other leg looks like it's ready to fall off any day now. My sister died of complications brought on by juvenile diabetes at the tender age 43. I've out-lived her in years, but I don't think I'll be signing on to any life term judgeships. And I sure as hell wouldn't wish this disease on anyone else.
Hey, what can I say. My political enemies make fun of the one-legged old gimp every day of the week. Good thing I'm not as sensitive as you about such nonsensical non-issues.
And if it's impossible for a minority to be racist, then it's impossible for a diabetic to be insensitive. /sarc
But, I do agree with you on one thing. We FReepers are a bunch of right-wing loons, bitterly clinging to our guns and religion. And proud of it you elitist gasbag!

Thanks for the ping.
Thank you for the Ping, Meek One! That was awesome, Jim. LOL! Love it.
O'Reilly isn't on the local station anymore and no one wonders why.
O'Reilly is reported to have had a stellar education attending private schools in childhood, Marist College, then Queen Mary, University of London, finishing with a Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism at Boston University.
Bill O'Reilly is yet another sad example proving that all the money in the world funded into the finest schools does not insure that Billy will be educated. In Bill O'Reilly's case, it's apparent that all he accrued was arrogance.
I hadn't heard it...but you can bet I agree. 100%
I'm a racist for not agreeing with someone's policies. Yep. Got it.
DITOO and three cheers for FR.
DITOO = DITTO
Harumph!!! Nice response.
Well, I do keep those lovable admins pretty busy...but think of the thousands in mental therapy they save me by letting me post here!
BO is a BOre and a statist. He wants his views enforced by gov’t just as much as the liberals do with theirs. Amazing how many people haven’t figured that out yet.
He cherry picks his emails from idiots to show he’s ‘fair and balanced’ with some calling him an extreme liberal and others calling him an extreme conservative (that’s how stupid they are), and he’s anything but fair and balanced. He favors big gov’t and is anti-free market, esp. wrt the oil industry.
His “style” of elongating every syllable is so old that it’s embarrassing to listen to, when on the occasion that I breeze by him while channel surfing.
The first time I’ve watched O’R since the election (trying to get updates on the Korea news), and he’s over-bloviating.
We know he speaks without a script and sticks his foot in his mouth often - which is one reason I’m not a regular viewer.
(Thanks, Meek!)
Give ‘em Hell, JimRob!
O’Reilly seems to have stolen the Acorn story from Beck, IMO. Beck was all over it while O’Reilly said “Acorn plays a little part”, while he held up two fingers to show how little...
Isn't O'Reiley the one that says he only seeks the truth? So, O'Reiley, your bombastic proclamation that you always deal in the truth, rang hollow last night.
JR: You lead.
O’Reilley follows. He couldn’t get half his stuff without this website.
“OReilly seems to have stolen the Acorn story from Beck, IMO. Beck was all over it while OReilly said Acorn plays a little part, while he held up two fingers to show how little...”
You are exactly right. I was listening to BOR the other nite, and I can only paraphrase here, but the gist of his comment was how he was the genesis of the Acorn story, and that Beck had joined him on his crusade against Acorn also. It was exactly the opposite, Beck jumped all over Acorn, and then O’Reilly chimed in, and then BOR tried to steal the story as his own. What a slimeball for doing that.
Now coming from a slightly different slant on this topic, I am so sick of the whole “moral equivalence” game that I could toss my cookies, if I had eaten any. By the way, I too am a diabetic, so I can’t eat a lot of cookies in order to toss them. The likes of BOR, and even Glenn Beck sometimes, although he’s my fav, do this all the time. They will pick out a list of sins committed by the Dems, and almost all the Fox talking heads then inevitably toss in the line “and the Repubicans do it too”, and then drum up one or two isolated examples of Pub sins to bolster their case that both parties are equally guilty of bad behavior. It is so utterly dishonest and bogus.
BOR does it to bolster his fence sitting “Independent” image. When Beck does it, it is because he would like to have a third party form, and he has been pushing the Libertarian Party. Someone has gotten hold of Beck’s brain and is pushing him to become a Libertarian when, by nature, I believe him to be a conservative, not a true Libertarian. You can tell from the few times he has talked about drug policy. One night he was opening up the conversation about legalizing marijuana, and he just really couldn’t quite swallow the premise himself. But the Libertarians obviously have been working on him.
So, between BOR and his I’m an Independent crap, while he draws a moral equivalence between the Dems and Pubs (which is why he attacked FR tonite) and Beck and his now I’m a Libertarian, although I don’t say it very loudly because it really doesn’t quite fit my basic instincts, however, both parties are equally culpable for the sins of our nation, and then the rest of the talking heads on Fox chiming in with more of the same (with the exception of Hannity, who just likes to have lots of libs on to argue with, which is just as bad), they thus all unwittingly end up facilitating the Dems by painting the Pubs as just the same as the Dems, which is, of course, an outright lie. (Yes, I know the above was an endless sentence.)
There will be no third party to the rescue. The choice will remain between the Dems and Pubs for years to come. But by the constant drawing of a moral equivalence between the Dems and Pubs by the MSM, the American people will lose out by swallowing this kool aid, because, as all Freepers know, there are MAJOR differences between the parties when it comes to basic ideology. I have lots more to say, but lucky for those that attempt to read this, I’m tired and am going to bed to sleep off my general irritation on this whole subject.
Absolutely Bravo! Encore! Encore!
Actually Libertarian = Conservative and Conservative = Libertarian, there are very few differences between the two, most of the founders were basically Libertarians.
Which is closer to Conservative values, the GOP or the Libertarians? I hold it is the Libertarians. I am a Constitutional Conservative... which is very close to the Libertarian views... with a few minor exceptions.
Glenn Beck is doing what a lot of former GOP groupies have been doing over the years, moving towards libertarianism... and back to our countries constitutional roots.
