[California] Need more water? Birth certificates, please, says water district
Orange County Register (CA) ^ | May 27, 2009 | by Teri Sforza

Posted on 05/27/2009 6:24:57 AM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer

When the Irvine Ranch Water District computes how much water you really should be using, the maximum allocation is based on that happy-family-of-four model.

Now, should you have more than four people in your (single family detached) household, you may request what is called a formal variance. But be prepared. Officials won’t just take your word for it.

“Attach proof of permanent residency for each person in the household,” .. “Proof may be children’s birth certificates, school records, blank checks with preprinted name and address, copies of income tax returns, drivers license, lease agreements, etc.”

Want to live here? No birth certificate required.

However, if you want to water the lawn your Certification of Live Birth will not be sufficient.

ACORN inspectors to the rescue! An army of red flags and red T-shirts, with their GPS inventory units in hip holsters. Oh, wait, he’s already doing that.

The GPS database from the census will not be accurate,
given the level of competence of the census workers...

This could be good or bad. Bad if they rely on it when the fedgov decides to use it for law (political) enforcement,
because they’ll bust down the wrong doors.

It would be good if they realize just how inaccurate and useless it is and abandon any reliance on it.

Is this really about water usage, or more about exposing homes with multiple families living in them? Also, nothing was said about homes with pools. Will there be an additional charge for pools? And what will this annual required variance cost the residents? Another bill for residents, but an income source for Irving.

Obi would have troubles with a number of these.

If California would deport all persons who have entered illegally, they might well turn into a thriving State once again.

1. plenty of water for all
2. reduce health expenses
3. reduce cost of governmental services
4. reduce cost of education
5. reduce crime rate and costs of confinement
6. reduce unemployment
7. reduce democrat voter registration

What is so hard about activating the solution???

“Proof may be children’s birth certificates,

Is the "do-it-yourself-print-off-the-internet" kind of birth certificate sufficient? I mean after all, it was all the vetting needed to determine eligibility for POTUS.

As water districts goes, IRWD is pretty efficient. My bill is about 2/3 the cost of the surrounding water districts.
