When examination of the science is too much work for show preparation and taking a position that falls in line with like-minded ideologues is part of your shtick, you can always resort to ad hominem attacks if needed.
In a May 19 segment on his "Hardball" program about global warming, MSNBC's Chris Matthews interviewed Reps. Jim Moran, D-Va., and Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., who had opposing views on the issue. However, Matthews attacked Rohrabacher, a global warming skeptic, as someone ignorant of science.
"Congressman Rohrabacher, are you a Luddite, a troglodyte? Are you a part of ‘The Planet of the Apes' that doesn't want science? Where would you place yourself in this argument?" Matthews asked.

I’d pay money to see someone with spine take one of these attacks and just rip Matthews limb from limb. I’m willing to bet Matthews has little formal science education and probably understands little of what he spews.
But his tactic works, unfortunately. Go ad hominem, talk fast, take the opponent by surprise and make them look stupid.
Apparently the dumbass doesn’t know what a Luddite is. That’s exactly what the environmental lobby is, a bunch of Luddites.

I thought Olbermann’s middle name was “Lance”..It doesn’t matter because Chrissie will toss him in an attempt to have the Bama’s child and satisfy his tingliness..
Never knew his middle name - Keith Lance Olbermann - looks as stupid as it sounds (fits his personality then).
