I notice the media is silent on the rapid increase in gasoline prices in the past week. Ours here (West FL) have jumped 25-30 cents in a week. Yet I heard a report Thursday that inventories were higher than normal because of declining demand.

Well of course. When Republicans are in control, high gas prices are a BAD thing. When it's the Democrats, it's of course a good thing, because that mean we evil polluters will drive less, and be forced to buy green cars.
