Won't let me post a link, but we're mentioned on the top ten list at DailyKos - thought you'd be interested.

They forgot to claim that all Freepers are around sixty-seven years old.
Just like the latest Vanity Fair issue claimed about Rush listners.
Perhaps I should dye my hair grey, grow a ponytail and shave the forward half of my pate.

No more old stuff? I didn’t even notice.
The people date back to 1998.

Wow, fearful much? Nope, nothing to gain except to post an inane column about the withering of FR, RIGHT!
This is a wonderful site and even though I am HTML challenged, I love the format. Thanks JR!
To: Tzimisce
Wow. The Daily Kos sucks.
Even DU has a better format.

...all wrapped in 90's-era HTML. I use a lot of other forums with up-to-date software. But there is no beating the flexibility here.
On another forum I've tried posting a table. Can't be done. There, here's a table:

...wrapped in 90's-era HTML And I say "HURRAY FOR THAT!". I can read FreeRepublic on my handheld, I can load pages on anyone's computer with speed unmatched by the "fancier" formatted blogs.
As far as I'm concerned, FreeRepublic's format is THE BEST for this sort of thing. If FR ever adopts the cluttered, ad-ridden crap formats of these other sites, I'll be reading it a lot less.

Most people on Daily Kos are (painfully) aware of Free Republic... Hehe. not as painfully as CBS is, but keep posting BS stories and they'll find out how painful being aware of Free Republic can be.

I love the format on this site and hope it doesn’t change. As soon as I get hubby’s med bills paid off I look forward to donating. I am sorry to see the folks at DU have such a narrow minded view of FR. Seriously. There is a pretty wide diversity of opinion here, and lots of well thought out posts.
I have seen plenty of posts supportive of Romney and Giuliani, so I find it hard to believe a person is banned if they happen to support either man politically.
Myself, I’d vote for either one were they the nominee.

Whatever. You can learn everything you need to know by just looking at the names...’Free Republic’ an idea, versus ‘Daily Kos’ a vanity.

all wrapped in 90's-era HTML.
Lame criticism. Way too many web sites larded with needless Ajax, Flex, Silverlight cruft.

Who is this daily Kook, sounds more like a wicked lib who is trying to start trouble...bet he/she/it or whatever it is lurks, infiltrates and masquerades as a person with a brain...well they should kiss me where the sun don’t shine....
