WASHINGTON - The White House aide who authorized the controversial Air Force One photo-op flight last week around the Statue of Liberty is out of a job.
President Obama has accepted the resignation of Louis Caldera, the director of the White House Military Office, the Daily News learned Friday.
A secretary of the Army in the Clinton administration, Caldera took the fall for the public relations fiasco arising from the April 27 flyover, which was designed to replace a publicity photo of Air Force One flying past Mount Rushmore with a similar shot of Obama's 747 jumbo jet over the Statue of Liberty.
Okay. You’re right about Naval Aviators taking aerial photography of flying in a jet; to include those things in and around the a/c.
I didn’t word my thoughts the best that I could have. I still don’t know if I can accurately word what I’m thinking. But I’ll take another stab at it.
I don’t believe this “picture-taking mission” occurred, because if someone wanted a great shot from up above AF1, taking pictures from the inside of a canopy will *look* like they were taken from inside a canopy.
Isn’t this type of photography best done via an a/c with a camera down below the plane in one of those glass-like bubbles?

Yeah but typically most of the air to air photography is done from a 2 seater jet such as the F-16B/D or the F-15B/D.
Sometimes they’ll use a small jet such as the C-21A (Learjet 35A) for photo work but the C-21 is a limited resource because there isn’t as many of them as there are of the two seat F-16 or F-15.
Out at Edwards AFB, they use 2 seat F-16’s as chase planes during testing, and they do a lot of photo and video work from these planes.
The released photo of SAM 28000 I think is a cover up. It’s not of the same quality as what’s typically done by the Air Force for promotional purposes. In fact I’ve seen footage and still pics from program testing that are of higher quality.

Two flags but only one flagpole
Look at the red line drwn along the flagpole shadow: it's a flight vector.
When you draw a straight line along the flagpole shadow and extend it downwads to the SSE, you wwill quickly realize that the shadow is a flight vector projected between the Statue of Liberty and JFK airport.
An extra flag shown? Two flags shown? A flight path directly vfrom JFK Airport to the Statue of Liberty?
Are we looking at a cryptic message for a future terrorisT attack??
Does the shadow of any other item in the photograph have the same angle as the flagpole’s shadow?

Look to the right of the white building at what appears to be the shadow of Lady Liberty. What appears to be the torch goes into the circular area.
If that is her shadow, we now have 2 suns. Stranger, on closer exam (playing with Photoshop), it appears to be flipped.
Obama has Michelle working in the White House garden — growin’ collard greens.
Hell of a waste of a Princeton/Harvard Law education.

Not Her particular Education! Remember that for some reason that is Sealed, Mrs. Obama surrendered her Law License only five short years after receiving it in order to prevent being the subject of a Criminal Trial. By surrendering her License to a Court Law Review Board, the impending Criminal Trial was canceled and all records were sealed. Its curious that little is heard about Mrs. Obama’s Legal Career as it relates to her Inability to practice Law Legally for the rest of Her Life! unless She may be granted a Presidential Pardon is so applicable:-(
I see what looks like her shadow skating along the left tree line and side walk to the left of the white building, but the shadow of the the Lady’s crown and torch is in the wrong place — the light would have to come from behind and to the right of the statue, and not straight down from the top front.
Two suns from different directions, at least!

No, I checked. The flagpole shadow is the only one going in that direction, and none of the others, for what little there may be, go off in a much different direction.
Ain’t that the truth! And, from a memo on a previous thread they DID have back-up days for WEATHER condition. And, it’s not as if they couldn’t have rescheduled it AGAIN, if the weather wasn’t better on the back-up dates...
For gosh sakes you can see a reflection in the “window/cockpit”, as if they wouldn’t do something to prevent that glare?
LOL — just thought of some old crime movie stuff, or X Files stuff — wonder if we could use some kind of advance software to see who was taking the picture, or just what that reflection is from? :)

Really! I hadn’t heard this. As a lawyer myself, you have to do something big time for them to ask you to surrender your license. Even alcoholics who raid the client trust account get a suspended license with the hope of restatement if they go to rehab and try to turn themselves around. Wow, if true, this is some stuff! No wonder she was busy telling women to stay home and make cookies.

The other reason for pinging a few of the folks is for the request(s) I have below regarding “Obama’s Gaffes in office and before”. Or, if anything I’m remembering is ringing a bell with anyone...

Of course, for someone like me that totally believes Obama is a Muslim, and that he’s playing a huge game of taqiyya it wouldn’t surprise me that your discoveries are not only plausible, but perhaps even likely. That’s me though. I’m already convinced he’s in “cahoots” with the Terrorists and/or the Communists in one way or another, or that’s another part of the game (the Communists part).
Someone mentioned on one of the first threads about a picture being found in Iraq or something — not the one depicting the destruction of the Twin Towers — but one with a large commercial jet flying around the Statue of Liberty (or towards it)?
I’m also remembering that before 9/11 someone posted here about the red flag hanging from her torch. Some surmised it was a “warning”, or a “signal”. My brainstorming makes me wonder if this was the 2nd sign... That perhaps the flag had nothing to do with 9/11? And, of course, it could all be coincidence, and my mind trying to make pieces fit together in a way I can comprehend because our world and how quickly it’s changing is truly surreal.
You know... I had just “developed” a big theory I’m still working on over the last few weeks about Obama’s gaffes and how they are like codes, and his policies constantly referring to things immediately identifiable by those of Muslim background... [5 Pillars of Education, 5 Pillars of Economic Recovery — and then going back farther through the campaign... 57 states, “My Muslim Religion”, and more...].
That’s why this photo and your analysis doesn’t seem strange to me in the least. I’m also reminded of the Pennsylvania planned memorial that involved a crescent and facing towards mecca. Polarik — I’m wondering if you extended the line in the opposite direction (away from JFK) what you might pass along the way as well.
BTW: If anyone knows a good cite that may have a list of all Obama’s speech “gaffes” let me know! That would save me quite a bit of time! LOL
ALSO: Does anyone remember the talk a few months back about some kind of a cease-fire with Al Qaeda and/or the Taliban that was of a 4-month duration? I can’t remember right now when those four months would’ve been up, or if there was some confirmation that the “cease-fire” thing was true?
What’s rather odd to me is that they would choose such an overcast day — even with the backup “weather” days.
Another thing about the photo. I highly doubt Master Sgt. Dunaway would have any “glare” from the cockpit in his photos! As you said, his work is much better than this. This looks like a photo a tourist might take out of an airplane window when descending for landing. I have a few picture like that myself — and the glare is always there due to the double-panes, even on an angle.
Too many questions, and even more after Polarik’s study of the photo itself, IMHO.
