Isn’t it nuts? There are like 6 sets of unemployment numbers, 3 or 4 sets of budget books, and Lord knows what else.

I wonder when Barky starts to pay a political price? If Bush was in office people would be in front of the Whitehouse with pitchforks!

” Its simply impossible, so I cannot comprehend how people are talking about a recovery.”
It's quite easy really, they are dumbing down the public into believing that Obama’s plan is working and undoing what the Evil Bush caused.
That way Obama get his way, while the idiot Lemmings carry on in complete ignorant bliss. After it's too late, there will be no way to ever change it or undo it.

I am in Galts Valley now and only buy foreign goods. The sooner it collapses the sooner we can rebuild. What company do you work for? I want to know so I don't buy it's products or services. See how you like it when your laid off.
Good thing there are not many like you.

In the next county over we have Ann Arbor which has the lowest unemployment rate in the state. However they have the highest number of taxpayer funded jobs.
Interestingly enough, Ann Arbor also made the Forbes list under the medium sized cities. Detroit topped the list for large cities.

Thanks Zed. Table A-12. Alt. measures of labor under- utilization is a big catchall category, in April ‘08 it was 8.9% vs 15.6% in April ‘09.
The reality is that the US Employment situation is approximately 2x’s worse than it was 1 year ago based on all these categories of UNEMPLOYMENT. BHO better get busy on his job creation or he will be facing a big azz whoopin’ soon!

If I were you, I’d think long and hard about why. There has to be a reason. And I doubt it’s the one they gave you. There’s something going wrong for you during the interview process. If they are willing to bring you in and talk to you, it means your qualifications are not the deal-breaker.

Go for it! You can have help from the Small Business Administration and other agencies. At least you would be willing to give jobs to people who are willing to give a honest day work.

In the next county over we have Ann Arbor which has the lowest unemployment rate in the state. However they have the highest number of taxpayer funded jobs. Ann Arbor also has a boatload of students looking for any kind of work they can get, and townies who will take any kind of work they can get just to live in Ann Arbor.
It's been that way for, well, forever.

Don’t wait. If you can go into business for yourself, do it. In the long run you will be much happier having total control of your own destiny.
