I consider myself a reasonable person. I do not subscribe to any of the many conspiracy theories designed to strike fear in the hearts of patriotic Americans. I have studied world history and American history and am a paid political commentator with my own daily talk radio program. And the news this week that my colleague Dr. Michael Savage has been banned from Great Britain sent a shudder down my spine.

While Michael joins the likes of the Honorable Geert Wilders, Dutch parliamentarian, he is also on the list with racists, murderers and radical Islamic terrorists. Oh, excuse me, "man caused disasters" of the Islamic variety. How did we get to this point? How did two great Western civilizations, the U.K. and the U.S., find themselves challenging John Locke's ideals and the U.S. Constitution?

On May 5, 2009, United Kingdom Home Secretary Jacqui Smith released a list that includes a ban on conservative American talk host Michael Savage entering her country. Today, May 7, 2009, at 10 a.m., thanks to the Federal Advisory Committee Act, an Advisory Committee on Diversity for Communications in the Digital Age will convene to begin to dismantle conservative talk radio. Its sole purpose is to control programming content, a backdoor fairness doctrine. So, May 2009 will go down in history as the month free speech died. Unless we take a stand.

Ok, we will give you that point, what I want to know is at this point in time does her list carry the wait of law and if it does, it doesn't matter if she "speaks" for the British people, what matters is can she really ban Savage from the country?

You know what calex59, the way that this Government has manipulated the systems here in Britain, and using legislation to 'combat extremism and support community cohesion' (does that sound familiar to Obama's legislation?) means that her point of view DOES currently carry weight of the law, and this is the point, they've covertly swept in these legislative powers with their Socialist agenda.
BUT, the big issue here is that people are dismissing and challenging these recent, Socialist laws, seeing them for what they are (protection for a paranoid, oppressive, tyrannical Government), and using Public opinion to get U Turns from the Labour Government on issues that this Government is using their oppressive legislation to support.

calex59, honestly, I'm watching on TV right now, the most extraordinary arguments outside Westminster, where this Government has used their own legislation against the Gurkha soldiers (See this FR Link amongst others) settling here in Britain.

Our immigration minister, Phil Woolas has just been completely and utterly ripped to pieces by two lawyers and an actress on Live TV, he looked and sounded the most pathetic excuse for a minister, they had no respect for the man, and it's the exact same issue for Gordon Brown and his cabinet.

What I'm selling to you guys over the Atlantic is, that this Government is falling apart, and I mean literally falling apart, there were arguments in the House of Commons yesterday with opposition Ministers literally abusing the PM right to his face, together with his aides. The issue with Mr Savage, is just the same as this issue with Gurkhas, the illegal DNA database, ID Cards, immigration, and amongst many other things, the paranoid Jacqui Smith blacklist that Mr Savage has found himself on.

People have been ringing into the BBC asking for the Queen to dissolve Parliament here, and believe me, it's justified.

I hope and pray that Mr Savage will press ahead with a legal challenge against Smith, Brown and the Labour Party, because they will not stand up to any scrutiny, and will further damage the already shot reputation of a dying Communist Government.
