DETROIT — The Rev. Jesse Jackson says helping Detroit's ailing auto industry is part of the NAACP's new role.
The civil rights activist said Sunday that blacks are disproportionately suffering in the current economic downturn and car companies' failures.
The reverend is scheduled to deliver the keynote address later Sunday at the 54th Detroit NAACP Fight for Freedom Fund dinner at Detroit's Cobo Center.

So let me get this straight, the auto industry is disproportionately black because of affirmative action. And now the blacks are disproportionately impacted because the auto industry has a business model that can not work. So lets give them more money that can not possibly save it. Makes sense to me.

Henry Ford, Walter Chyrsler, Alfred Sloan and all the unnamed forgotten men who built the American Auto Industry out of nothing must be turning over in their graves.
That our once great automobile industry has been reduced to the likes of barney frank, nancy pelosi, barack obama, and now the ultimate insult, jesse jackson even being considered as saviors is an "other world" experience. It is more than an insult. It is an obscenity.
Let us have some mercy and some dignity and kill these companies now before these people continue their barbarian dance over the grave of better men then they will ever be.
